This has been the first time I ever played it; and I have already declared it as one of the best games I have ever played.

Of course, my hard-on is justified. Congrats on your purchase.

Wish I could share the picture (or even better - scent) of it with you, but - sticking to outdated plugins on my computer - I can't seem to right now. Anyhow, the most expensive of my cheap DVD* hauls to date is finally here. To give you some impression of the lot I can say that, when seeing a Deer Woman title priced diminutively - I don't need to be asked much nicer to take it home with me.

*) Two titles are on VCDs, which I didn't notice when ordering, but for the price of both - I can't complain much, either.

This time I resisted buying a number of Steven Seagal ones... except for Submerged, thanks to its cool original title.

Also, Rayman Legends and Dungeon Siege III (Limited Edition) for PS3 as well as Neo Contra (to accompany Shattered Soldier and Gradius V among my PS2 games).

The last two were from Disney Movie Rewards. I also ordered a couple other Ghibli Blu-rays and decided to splurge on JP Blu-ray Castle in the Sky since I like the movie itself quite a bit, the US DVD has mistimed translation subtitles for the JP version, and the US Blu-ray has dubtitles.

Back in the day, the old-school anime fans had to settle for the VHS tape of "Warriors of the Wind" English-dubbed version to sate their Nausicaa fix (abeit a heavily edited version with certain key scenes removed making for a leaner version). Even the Blockbuster rental chain had gotten in copies of this particular title for rent out back in the early 1990s.

I actually own a copy of it. The cover is amazing.

For what it is, the dub is surprisingly decent.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I found about WipEout Omega Collection yesterday myself. Little as I read about videogaming these days, WipEout HD Fury happens to be one of my most trusted games recently, thus I am glad to see the beacon shining on into another gen. So glad indeed. Actually, would probably be my first PS4 game if I got the console.

Yes.... seriously. I was thrilled not to get it at the current reseller prices.

Yeah, JP Blu-rays aren't cheap. That's probably why the US Disney blu-rays of Ghibli films seem to be popular on Amazon.co.jp, since they are all region (and would be the same region code anyway) and have the JP language version. I did order Castle in the Sky on JP Blu-ray, since both the US DVD and blu-ray have some subtitle issues (badly timed subtitles on the former and dubtitles on the latter). I was thinking of getting the HK Blu-ray, but I heard some of those have different issues and lack the English dub.

I ordered the EU Classic Monsters Essential Collection set since it's cheaper than the US set, has better packaging, and is region free.

I recall watching the Streamline version of Laputa: Castle of the Air at the famous indie movie art house, The Roxie in San Francisco, back in April of 1990. It was presented in Japanese with English subtitles. I was blown away by the cool flying mecha that harbor such destructive firepower. Alas, it'd be many years later that Disney finally released it on DVD for sale in the USA.

Yeah, I read those notes on LDDB... personally I don't think the side-break on LW1 is that bad, I've certainly seen a lot worse on other discs!

I'm pleased to say that there are no signs of the dreaded laser rot on my LW3, and long may it remain that way!!

Judging from the few titles I can decipher, I'm not sure my heart could take it if he chooses to reveal the contents.

Arcade boards . Details in my blog...

40 boards in 2 days exhausted me. Taking time off to regain feelings in my fingers and toes.
