FInally got myself a new home cinema sound system (I've been using the same av-receiver and speakers for the last 20 years):
Teufel Consono 35 Mk3

The fucking subwoofer alone weighs over 20 kilos... tried out Ghost in the Shell 2's opening scene with it. The drums now sound ungodly intense... I should have done this a long time ago!
also bought an Onkyo TX-SR343:

Yes, I decided to splurge:

The book I had Kickstarted, it just happened to arrive only a day before the Analogue NT Mini. An awesome, yet unintended, timing of 8-bit goodness.

Ooh, that console model is pretty expensive from what I heard. Is it awesome?

Dug a Hori Berretta out of Hardoff for 1,000yen today. Guncon clone, full metal, weighs about 3lbs. Best lightgun I've ever used.

Woah....this looks amazing. Is it guncon model 1 or two 2, and did it come with the foot pedal? I need two of these ASAP!!!SuperDeadite wrote:Dug a Hori Berretta out of Hardoff for 1,000yen today. Guncon clone, full metal, weighs about 3lbs. Best lightgun I've ever used

This is the original GunCon 1 version for PS1. Foot pedal and gun were only sold as a set, the gun plugs into the pedal, and the pedal plugs into the console. Officially licensed from Berretta, it's one hell of a replica. I believe there also was a PS2 version (silver color), but I've heard it's much cheaper made then the original.Shoryukev wrote:Woah....this looks amazing. Awesome, I play the point blank games on PS1 the most so I was hoping it was a guncon-1. 1:1 scale replica too, this thing is RAD!SuperDeadite wrote:This is the original GunCon 1 version for PS1. I don't think I'll be retiring my NESRGB-modded AV Famicom, though. Maybe I'll use the Analogue for NES stuff, so I don't have to futz around with an adapter. We'll see how it goes.

The NT-mini looks like an impressive piece of hardware. I really like that it has both analog and digital outputs, being able to run HDMI, RGBs, YPbPr, s-video, or composite is going to help out a lot of people.

Couple of items of note from the latest parcel to arrive from Japan:
The Neo CD marks a return to SNK home hardware for the first time in nearly 12 years:

These new officially licenced T-shirts are ace - although sad to see they are already being hawked at obscene mark-ups on YHJ! & eBay:

That's lovely, wish I had the cash to get a copy. Seeing him play selections of this material when he toured the release of Nah Und Fern live was a real highlight for me, incredible experience.scrilla4rella wrote:Just got this shipped from the label in Germany. will prob wait until the weekend to dive in
