Monitor with broken stand, mounted in its styrofoam and box with viewing window and vents cut into front and back. Was worried about the styro heating up, but the monitor really doesn't generate much heat anyway. With the carrying handle it's also quite portable.

Edit: Ugh geez sorry I made the pic so big. =/

Is that a V3-SA? Hard to tell from the photo. Still love the look of that stick, wish I hadn't sold mine.

Edit, actually it looks like a qanba. Never mind, drinking.

I made a little trolley for my superguns to give them somewhere to live and so that they could be tucked away nicely when finished with.

Anyway, my only tate setup that isn't a cab 8)

Reading this thread motivated me to finish this bit of my games room off. I've been collecting the constituent parts to do this since I opened the games room in March 2012.

Some Sega Saturn tate goodness :awe:

Image

I could do with an RGB to SCART for it but that's the least of my worries.

Strikers 1945 anyone?

Marvellous!!! 8-)

Cheers,

Ralph.

Consisting of a Pioneer PDP-V402 (40" 4:3 Plasma), MAK Strike super gun, Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 arcade stick
The PCB is Mushihimesama Futari v1.5

Very pleased with this setup :D
AWESOME!!!

I would love to do a plasma tate setup, as the image quality, black levels and viewing angles are perfect for shmpus, but the smallest size is panels made were 32" and I dont quite have the space for it. But seeing you tate a 40", man thats inspiring. Plasmas are getting hard to find now, history will describe it as the Betamax of display technology!

This is the at least the third 40" 4:3 plasma (Pioneer or LG) I see standing somewhere in the Netherlands.
Was there some special demand for those over there back in time ?

Yes it is indeed a Qanba Q4RAF, great value and compatibility. Got it used for 80$ stock. =)

Today I figured out that I could mod my old HP w2448hc (16:10, 24") monitor to rotate counterclockwise. Set it up on the spot that is normally taken by my CRT and I have to say it looks quite nice. Input lag also doesn't seem to be a big problem.

I also have an older photo of my PC gaming Tate setup using an ASUS VG248QE 2ms monitor.

svensonson, you are going to have to align your screen more than a bit for that to be a ‘tate setup’
