Should be easy to pull off since it uses quick disconnects. Probably have to use a longnose and muscle to pull them out.

I put my Ikegami monitor on its side for tate action but the colour isn't right. It was off for over a day before I moved it and I left it over twelve hours before switching it back on.
Any tips for correcting the colour problems?

I'm considering buying a Panasonic TX-32PD30F which is offered locally for about 20€.

Does anyone have any experience with Panasonic's later TVs? - any good things to say about these in regards to retro gaming?
This TV has component input also, so would be great for connecting my NTSC Gamecube, which haven't got a lot of love, but this will also mean that this TV would replace my primary B&O MX8000 TV for YOKO material in 240p.

The cost of the TV is not so much the problem, it's more the work related to bringing it home that could be avoided if anyone has anything to say about this TV for my possible use.

I'm trying to use my Dreamcast with a viletim Scart2JAMMA, but the picture is garbage ridden. AFAIK, the scart cable is European and official, the pins attached are these (googled this picture):

Do other RGB scart cables exist for this console, or must I do something else to get this working? I usually use my VGA cable for the Dreamcast but I acquired a scart RGB for low res. It has been disappointing so far.

missing video ground... Sega cables are notorious for missing a number of ground connections. The cable uses audio ground and ground on pin21 (the outer shield) and your jamma adapter probably doesn't connect either to video ground.

Thanks, should I get a 3rd party one instead, or am I just screwed?

you can either add a bridge on the Scart2Jamma adapter (just bridge pins 4/19/21) or add a pin 19 to your cable.

I had a look on eBay and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Dreamcast- ... 27db66f598 looking very nice. I especially like this part:
Here you can buy partly hand manufactured RGB SCART / EURO High Quality Cable 1,80 meters long for SEGA DREAMCAST.

You will get true RGB High Quality picture not composite from your DC
+ It has all pins showing in the pictures. I will ask the seller if it has video ground on 4, 9 and 21.

I'd rather not meddle with the Scart2JAMMA, and I'm not sure I would be able to successfully mod the cable (you're not talking to "mr hands" here, I'm a klutz ;) ).

Got a question about hooking up a Super Emotia.

Rigged up a power supply, and plugged everything in, and somehow, I was able to get it to work displaying my PC on my PVM. Only problem at the time is that I couldn't get anything (Emulators in fullscreen or just regular windows desktop) to completely fill the screen.

Thought I'd mess around with it again tonight, and can't seem to get the image to display at all. Anyone have a guide on PC>Monitor using a super emotia?

Also, this may sound silly, but I'm not sure which buttons to have pressed on the Monitor itself. I have...

A/RGB
B/Component
C/SDI
Line/RGB
EXT Sync

Thanks for the help!

I noticed on my PVM last night that when I was in a section of a game that had a dark background and I shot a white contrast line would follow the bullet up the screen.
Is this a sign of impending doom?
cheers!

nope, that's normal on old tubes. just means the phosphor behind the glass isn't exactly fresh anymore and won't immediately lose its glow during a bright -> dark shift anymore

Make sure the H and V syncs are combined into one single SYNC line via a passive or active converter. Also the input for VGA connection will become a Digital signal, so be sure to set the EXT Sync to Digital. Last be sure what resolution you're outputting to the Super Emotia. I don't recall, but it probably only accept anything below 640p.

Thanks for the tips. I think my issue is with the resolution I'm ouputting to the Emotia.

If my monitor only has EXT Sync, and not H and V sync, do I need to worry about any converting?

Hi everyone, just bought a pvm-14n6u as my first monitor with rgb input, and I really love the picture, but it has a problem with horizontal shift. Everything is slightly to the left. I tried to search and found a bunch of threads on other pvm monitors but couldn't find much on the 14n6u.

Anyway, there is nothing in the menu for this. I found a service manual and took the case off and tried to find a pot to adjust it but the only pots I could find were H. STAT, picture, and focus. There are also 2 pots on top of the yoke that say YCH, and TLV. These 5 pots are the only ones I can find in the manual too.. unless I missed something. If anyone knows of a way to adjust the horizontal shift on my monitor I would definitely appreciate your input.

Also it seems to have some sort of pincushion thing going on when a bright image is displayed, it's not too bad, and I don't really notice it much, but would messing with the center raster adjustment help that? Thanks

Yah it only accept composite/external sync. You can do the following: test if the TV accept the H signal as an EXT Sync. If not, then you have to combine both Syncs into a Composite Sync through a DIY circuit or RGB interface module (Extron Emotia).

I changed the sync jumper on the JAMMA2SCART to TTL instead of the default setting and it works now, without any bridging needed. In case someone else searches for a solution.

a hdmi repeater doesn't add input lag or reduce picture quality, does it?

Are SNES/SFC, GC and N64 AV cables compatible with the Famicom AV model? the connector back on the console looks like the same one.

I stored away some of my consoles, and I cannot figure out where the Famicom cables is :x

They are for composite cables, not for RGB or S-video.

How can I get the Wii to stop giving me little black bits in random places? It has by far the worst video out I have ever seen. Are official cables better or something?

Be a little more descriptive? Maybe pictures.

Thinking overheating or hardware failure, not video signal problem.

my hdmi switch has a function called "hdmi booster" which according to specifications should allow a cable of up to 15m on the output. this isn't the same as a hdmi repeater, which would fix up input signals i believe, is it?

the issue i'm having is that i've got a 10m hdmi cable hooked up to a switch and can't get a proper 1080p picture on my large monitor.

while i'm at it i might as well ask if the optoma hd3000 and crystalio ii can be used as proper hdmi switches with passthrough and possibly even hdmi repeating - since i'm saving up for one these anyways.
