Does the card do 240p or just 480i?604_degrees wrote: It's P4 1.5GHz / 500MB RAM / Geforce2 Mx 200 / Win XP.
Kaillera's Mame32 Plus Plus v0.119 was the only build which gave me decent performance on this hardware. I sometimes experience framedrop in Batrider and Burning Force, but overall it is OK enough to play Air Gallet, ESP Ra De and bunch of older shmups, as well as couple of other Capcom and Namco titles. Haven't noticed input lag tho. Anyway, really happy to have these games on my CRT playable in their native resolution.

Thanks, nice t-shirt as well!Stevens wrote:I see a copy of Under Defeat, you have good taste sir.

My XRGB tells it's 241p. (I use Soft15kHz + quickres tools, obviously)GaijinPunch wrote:Does the card do 240p or just 480i?

Add a Turbo Everdrive to the naked Hu-Card slot and you're all set. Is the best & cheapest way to play the uber-rare TTI version of Magical Chase without breaking the bank or your wallet these days.MJR wrote:My lifelong dream came true, I am finally a proud owner of PC-Engine Duo R - console - and this one has had its lens replaced to a new one, RGB mod and region switch installed, along with couple other longer-lifespan-providing fixes ^^
I bought few games too, and burned some to cd-r - will keep collecting them whenever I can afford.
Good news : it is a fine machine - I have the most Shmups for the PCE myself and a Shmupper cannot really go wrong with the PCE - have a good time with it.MJR wrote:My lifelong dream came true, I am finally a proud owner of PC-Engine Duo R - console - and this one has had its lens replaced to a new one, RGB mod and region switch installed, along with couple other longer-lifespan-providing fixes ^^

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Thank you for the hint, PC Engine Fan! I proceeded to just that, ordered myself one from Canada, and now I am waiting for it. Estimated arrival was between 8-13.2. so there is a good chance that it will arrive in time just for my birthday, which is 10.2.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:MJR wrote:My lifelong dream came true, I am finally a proud owner of PC-Engine Duo R - console - and this one has had its lens replaced to a new one, RGB mod and region switch installed, along with couple other longer-lifespan-providing fixes ^^

Nice figures. I liked the anime series they made two years ago.Kiken wrote:A set of birthday gifts from the missus:

I still have my OG Voltron I woke up to on Christmas all those years ago.I loved Voltron as a child, I preferred the vehicle team though.
My brother (13 years my senior) bought me the complete set for Christmas of 85' or 86'. I played with that thing so much.
It is still in good enough condition to display and the land and air team still connect to one another. The leg joint on the sea team has been busted for years though.

Very disappointed.
Funny, the MD version of Forgotten Worlds is harder than the arcade one.Kiken wrote:Speaking of Mega Drive, my recent pick-ups:
I'm pretty sure Arrow Flash was the one Sega-programmed shmup I was missing from the console's line-up (the others being Whip Rush, Crying and the MD conversion of Forgotten Worlds). And I've checked one more TechnoSoft game off the list.
