Makoto Nagano is the greatest Sasuke competitor of all time.

Just watched his total victory run again. His execution is flawless and he is strong as fuck.

He should have won twice, if they didn't take 5 seconds off of stage 4 he would have.

Just finished season 1 of Ash vs. Evil Dead, and I'm very glad Bruce is revisiting the series. If you're a fan of Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness, Bruce Campbell in general, or even just cheesy horror or comedy movies...I recommend giving at least the pilot a try.

SPOILERS!
Spoiler
I love that they draw attention to him being old and out of shape. The scenes involving girdles, dentures, etc. were pretty hilarious throughout. I was super excited that they went back to the cabin!!! As a longtime fan of the series it was very cool seeing the 73 Oldsmobile again. It was also cool seeing the cabin and the woodshed, but I wished there was some sort of scene where someone was being chased through the cabin and getting a good look at the whole layout like they did in ED2.....if for no other reason than fan service LOL. The acid-trip section was hilarious getting to peek inside the mind of Ash....I've got two hands!!! Time to double-fist beers!!! I was a little sad to see his evil hand chopped up to bits after they destroyed the new Evil Ash that grew from it, really hoping to see it somehow regenerate and make an appearance in the second season. If not I guess he finally got the little-sucker!

The only real gripe I had was the ending. I would have rather seen the forest surrounding the cabin kill the hikers. I also really expected Ash to trick her and screw up the deal he made once she removed the mask from Pablo's face. I know Ash is a bit of a chicken-shit backstabbing coward, but that didn't seem like something even he would have done. When it happened I felt like it wasn't the real ending...I expected him to be pulling a fast one in one way or another. I know they had to leave it open for a second season, but I feel a little swindled on the way they did it.
Overall I thought it was groovy, and will be coming back for some more sugar baby!

Wish I still had cable, I would still be watching Sasuke and not ANW. I like ANW for the competition that it is, I fucking hate what NBC has done to it.

Tell me who is running, how old they are, and what they do. I don't need the human interest bullshit. It might be revisionist history, but I feel like an hour episode of Sasuke had twice as many runners in half the time.

Here is Nagano's final run. I would love to see it subbed, but the truth is you don't need to understand a word of it to understand it. The respect they have for that man is immense.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPeBsfCzLA0

His resume is unmatched, but I think Drew Drechsel has the potential to be as great. Even to the point where he reaches total victory after several deep runs that end just short.

There was that time he would have gotten farther if he didn't have to run the 1st stage again. I can't remember which competition it was, but that was total crap. Watching him fall on the first stage because of a failure not of his doing.

Whoops, you are correct sir. That obstacle fuck up was the same sasuke he missed his second total victory by 1 second. I thought they cut the time on stage 4, but I was mistaken.

Watched the first four episodes of Stranger Things. I'm liking the whole 80's setting. Kid protagonists are no Goonies, but they are alright.

I shotgunned all of Peep Show this week. I came for David Mitchell, stayed for David Mitchell and the endlessly glorious trainwreck that is the main characters' relationship.

I was getting ready to cancel Netflix when I saw PS in my queue and thought, I'll just knock it out quick. Now that I've actually got some use out of Netflix, I'm not sure I'm ready to cancel yet even though I don't have a next show in mind.

Did they get the final series up there yet? Not nearly as good as the others, but not bad.

I have been watching the first season of the 60s Batman. I have always enjoyed the series in a so bad it's good kind of way, but the first season is "so good, it's good" so far. Still campy, but less over the top and silly compared to later episodes, and surprisingly dark at times. The show does a lot of things right that over superhero shows get wrong and it's nice seeing an older live action show that puts the villains front and center.

So stoked for the return of Twin Peaks. There was a video posted on the show's Facebook page yesterday, and... just wow.

McLachlan is on coffee with spice (and hot!), this will be awesome. Noticed he didn't age too much, less than his original makeup-old-Dale character actually.

Timeless (NBC):

Not sure what to think about this one. So far, it seems like every time travel cliche from every time travel show ever rolled into one, but at least they seem to be fully aware of this fact (in the last episode one of the characters literally said "Hey, it worked in Back to the Future 2" about something he did while in the past.) The premise seems rather contrived, and it seems to have headed straight for the hideously overused "Someone wants to make the Nazis win World War 2" cliche.

i thought it would turn into basically everything you said based on the trailer. maybe not to a T, but it looked a bit lame. glad to hear i was more or less right.

I found out that a lot more music in Daria got replaced than I thought (figured it was like 5 songs at most), so a "restored" first and second season magically appeared on my hard drive. I need to find the other ones, but right now I'm rewatching season 1 and everything sounds a lot more fitting, and just better in general.

I liked it too but it just made me want to reach twin peaks for the 4th time. I will say that winona Ryder was primo

according to another board I'm on
Spoiler
"the biggest twist: not only was their science teacher not gay but he in fact had a hot asian gf lmao that blew my mind"
to be fair, there really aren't many similarities between stranger things and twin peaks, but it has me stoked on the 2017 season and I'm really hoping it doesn't disappoint.

Geh, I saw one of these episodes while trapped in a hospital waiting room. Four minutes was devoted to some guy and about how much he loves his farm where he grows cars out of the ground together with his wife, a chicken. (My memory is making this far more interesting than it really was.)

"This fucker isn't going to make it past the second obstacle, and has zero chance of getting over the warped wall" I thought as I evaluated the strength level of his body with my eyes, the only relevant information presented in the piece.

Then eighteen seconds into his run, he falls into the water at the second obstacle.

I haven't turned on my television ever since I moved to a place that doesn't broadcast PBS. It's been an effective shield against posers who aren't interested in being a ninja getting human interest pieces about how being a ninja is actually rather worthless, on shows about being a ninja.
I think Drew Drechsel has the potential to be as great

Hahahaha, I looked up the teacher actor's age and found out he is younger than me... I feel old.
Spoiler
By the way, my impression of the teacher during the series was that he wasn't gay but still a virgin (the bullies had mentioned it also), and he was on his way to get something going with the Asian chick when the kids phoned him probably ruining his big chance.

My sister-in-law has been binge watching The IT Crowd lately. Overall a really funny show, but it also gets incredibly cringy at times too.
