So this is why swimsuit mode makes the game harder.

I dunno, looks like he has bigger problems to worry about, what with his helmet being all cracked and apparently smeared with blood on the inside.

Yeah, the text makes me think Mr. Pilot is already quite dead (in that picture). Kind of like the cover for PS2 Daioujou where Shotia is against the crashed ship's bullet-ridden cockpit, except even more explicit.

I'm just going to say I love that pilot outfit. I haven't seen purple that awesome since Saints Row 2.

I'd also like to know what the insane requirements for the secret second loop and true last boss are. I'm thinking 300 bees, exactly 100 of each color, no bombs, no hypers, no deaths, minimum chain of 2000, and actually touching a woman, just to make things physically impossible for most fans.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Yeah, I noticed that as well as the fact that he's apparently flying well above the ground still. I just chalked it up to, y'know, the series' general WTFness (giant robot bees, mecha lolis).
nZero wrote:Yeah, the text makes me think Mr. Pilot is already quite dead.
Then... the pilot isn't the pilot but the loli is? Or it's controlled remotely? Or they're necrophile lolis channelling the spirit of the dead pilots to fly?

He's obviously got a violent nosebleed as all Japanese men do when they see sexy wimmens. I see it in documentaries on Japanese culture like Dragon Ball Z, Ranma 1/2 and Bible Black all the time.

The pilot can't be dead! If he is, then he can't get killed in the ending.

I see what you did there.

Also, I want to be more excited about SDOJ, but I probably won't be able to play it for a loooooooooong while, even if [read: when] it gets a port.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

I suppose that it's WAY too early to begin the ARDUOUS physical and mental tasks of WAITING WATCHING HOPING AND WISHING for SDOJ to be released as a 360 port?

As far as the game's inevitable PCB release (whereupon the TP forum will be flooded with $3000 kits and the hype-induced-gouging of prices of YJ will be unmatched only by the hype-induced-gouging on eBay) there's very small chances of any of us westerners even seeing the attract mode in person...let alone actually play the damn game.

I suppose it's ALSO also too early to start hounding Cave, Rising Star, Aksys, or Atlus ether?

Man this game looks fun. Knowing that it's out there but having to wait years for a port sucks...

Oh well...lament = over back to work.

The bullet patterns and gameplay are pretty good but the stage backgrounds kind of suck. They all look the same and are very uninteresting.
All in all the game feels pretty uninspired.

360 Port of SDOJ is going to be released mid-summer.
Have fun!
I'd be waiting till Mushihimesama 360 comes out before we can say they've learnt to handle ports properly. As I recall they've screwed up a few of their recent ports.

The backgrounds look good to me... (sorry about the resolution, captured these on my phone)

News just in, all game with no graphics is FULL SHMUP.

Seriously though, when the game finally comes out we might actually have more gameplay to discuss. Right now everything their is to talk about has probably been said.

Yeah, it's not like the site includes new scoring system info nobody here mentioned because they were too busy making unfunny jokes or anything. OH WAIT

Neither of which matter to people who'd rather play and get good at the games than satisfy some PCB fetish.

Didn't realise that information was new, I apologise.

I mentioned about the scoring on my first post after the update asking for someone to translate it but nobody seems on the mood to do it.
