Sales for that game actually were better because of the unorthodox box art.

The Phalanx box art is one of the best covers ever. I sort of mean that, too. It is really kind of cool =) It's not a badass with a gun, it's a badass with a banjo!

But seriously, and even on topic, i find Ibara has a few annoying Caveims, While Garegga is in many respects more balanced. For once, Ibara has too many snipers for my taste, "also enemies dashing against" me are a thing that makes me insane.

But then again, GAREGGA is the truth, why am i doing this comparison? I blame BM for this

In case you hadn't looked at it, Garegga snuck into my Top 25 voting this past time around, while Ibara didn't make the cut...despite the various similarities between the two and Ibara's improved bullet visibility in particular, I agree, at least for now, that the latter just doesn't quite have the same "je ne sais quoi" (I probably misspelled that) as Garegga does...maybe I just need to spend more time with Ibara, though. (Off to the side, I wasn't aware that snipers and dashing enemies were Cave trademarks, heh heh.)
