from the write-up...zakk wrote: Uhh no. TAC is not the woman. How did you even get that impression?
I took that as "Zuho was playing Black Label. TAC gave it a try when she was done playing whatever she was playing." Obviously the wrong context. But that's why I thought of him as a her. Oops.Zuho is playing Black Label, so TAC decides to give it a try when she's done.
or most of the games are ticket redemption, driving, or deer hunting gamesIcarus wrote:It is a lot harder to enjoy and be influenced by arcade culture when there are no arcades in your area. -_-;;
In past SBOs, the organizers were gracious enough to install American style controls for the US players. I don't think it is an issue for their humiliation.Ganelon wrote:Yeah, but at least there, you can attribute some of the disparity to unfamiliarity with JP joysticks
Zuho is a girl. She runs MAGATTA BANANA. TAC (yes, Clover-TAC) is a guy. Glad you enjoyed it. One of the few things I really liked writing. Guess I did mess that up though... does sound like I got the genders backwards.I took that as "Zuho was playing Black Label. TAC gave it a try when she was done playing whatever she was playing." Sadly, I've taken a huge liking to those deer hunter games. It's fun to shoot an animal in the ass and somehow score a head shot.Twiddle wrote:or most of the games are ticket redemption, driving, or deer hunting gamesIcarus wrote:It is a lot harder to enjoy and be influenced by arcade culture when there are no arcades in your area. -_-;;
why don't I know jack about 3S? Because I placed emphasis on the Q part?AFXisatwin wrote:You don't know jack about 3s.Q. Q.

Well, less so, but there is still a big difference between playing in a group vs playing alone, even in a solo game.Ganelon wrote:But there's no excuse in the shooter genre...
Yeah, that was us talking to top Japanese player RAM. Words 'from the horse's mouth' as it were... So its gotta be true.I forget who said it, but someone here was talking to a top Japanese player (in shmups), and the Japanese player said something along the lines of: "When I get a high score, it's kind of a group high score, because I see and talk to other players every day, trading strategies and actually see things being done."

If you're even so much as sniffed within a mile of the arcade they call in the pros, just to fuck with your head. Every morning, they have a shift coming in dropping a score on each cab. And it all looks so natural, like they just strolled in. There's the girl annihilating a false sense of male self-esteem you didn't even know about and a guy who looks like a fashion model looping Ketsui in between hot sessions of sunday morning squishy with his model girlfriend. You were LUCKY they didn't have the pre-schoolers there accidentally 1CCing games they can't even spell the names of or you'd have thrown yourself in front of the next car!
It's called "demoralize the foreign threat".![]()
Thanks for the thread. Intended or not, that was a fun read. Too horrible not to be a nightmare. I really can picture it.

For some bizzare reason EVERY arcade in my area has Sammy's Extreme Hunting, which is a complete pile of crap but still manages to get money out of me...landshark wrote:Sadly, I've taken a huge liking to those deer hunter games. I go to Dave & Busters and play all the gun games. I can't get enough Police Trainer 2 and these 2 games that rely on body movement for dodging bullets and such (a killer on the legs!).Dale wrote:Same here.(Die Bear die)Macaw wrote:For some bizzare reason EVERY arcade in my area has Sammy's Extreme Hunting, which is a complete pile of crap but still manages to get money out of me...landshark wrote: Sadly, I've taken a huge liking to those deer hunter games.
