progear. it's the reason I got into PCBs even though dimahoo was my first. love the steam punk theme that isn't often replicated in the genre.

the organic flow of the bullets is mesmerizing but the game doesn't really pick up steam (harhar) until you learn the scoring/bullet cancelling mechanics. the scoring system is integral to playing the game much how akai katana later adapted a similar but different system. once you learn how to herd and cancel/chain cancel huge spreads, the game becomes a lot more manageable. a moderate 1-all and blistering 2nd loop.

Terra Force (Arcade/Mame)
For the nostaligic 1st stage music (it has a certain charm) and solid Vert and Hori gameplay. Its on par with Radian for its smooth movement.

Dimahoo (Arcade/Mame - and my alias on Xbox Live)
I love this game for the music but moreso the RPG like collection mechanics. I'm not very good at it mind.

And from the old skool consoles..

Gynoug - MD.
This game needs a decent remake. The Artwork is stunning and it had some fairly nice levels with interesting effects (at the time and for the MD).
Great music too. Very unique.
Its never really been revamped in any form of evolutionary way.

*Random pickz

G-Darius
Every aspect in the game are mind-blowing. Truly huge bosses, fast-paced, interactive background stages, NGE-like story, superb gameplay (capture the enemy, used as your weapon, can turn into huge beam, beam-duel with bosses that can fill the entire screen if you're win? No other games use this concept btw), and yes incredible MUSIC.

DoDonPachi
Pure fun danmaku, I wasted much time while back only play this game, even I still don't get the 1-ALL.

My absolutely favorite is Garegga even though I am yet to 1cc it. I love everything about it, scoring system, graphics, music. Every little progress I make (score or surival) makes me happy. Second place is shared by Raiden 1, 2 and DX (yep, love them equally). Third is between original Dodonpachi and DOJ.
