Also I dont understand this whole "not available in your country" thing. Some games are region-locked ?

I don't use android phones, but I would assume that if you had to delete the old application to install the new version, you would be deleting your save data as well (or more accurately, the account credential files that allows you to access your save data since the game uses an online account system).

Anyway, if you want to back up your save data/account credential files and you have your phone rooted, just find files data048.bin and data056.bin and save them to your computer or some removable data storage hardware. Then once you install the new version of the application copy your bin files back into the appropriate application folder.

If you're using ADB to install a new APK, you just use the -r paramater and it will install over the top of the existing installation (adb install -r <APK file>)

Then again, Puzzle and Dragons should be available in Europe. Did you install a different region version when you first installed the game?

I did not know about ADB, is that program already installed on android devices, or do I have to get it somewhere ?

About Europe PAD, my device/google store always told me that the game is not available in my country. So I did get the US version via an APK file like the one you linked me too.
How comes that, living in europe, buying a device (samsung galaxy tab) via official market, PAD being available here, I get this lock ?

ADB is one of the standard tools in the Android SDK. You can get the SDK from here if you need it:

Also, you will need to enable USB debugging on your device to use this. The procedure to do this may vary depending on your specific device, so you'll probably need to look it up.

I still dont get why I cant access PAD on the google store since you say it should be available in Europe.

I started playing this recently. Quite a fun little game.

I re-rolled my first REM until I got something that looked semi-decent, Andromeda. Not really sure what I should be doing to get more cards that are worth actually leveling up though. I've been saving my Magic Stones for a Godfest, as suggested, so should I just hope for good pulls from the Pal Machine? Should I be farming some of these dungeons for better drops?

I've read the beginner's guide and have a good idea of where to grind Rank and such, but I'm just not too sure how best to go about making an early-game team that is a little more interesting than some goblins and blobs to accompany my one cool card.

Help me get even more addicted to this awesome game!

When I first started about a week ago the thought of rerolling never even occurred to me (I went in completely blind assuming this was just your average f2p mobile garbage. I was dead wrong.). Luckily after the tutorial roll I tried rolling 2 more times and ended up getting Loyal Deity Guan Yu.

However I just found out that I'll be needing many other REM red dragons to get any use out of him, which will be difficult given that I don't want to spend money on this.
I'm hoping I can just use him with my blue starter and two lil dragons I obtained and started training (unfortunately none of those 2 lil dragons are red :/ )

In the early game, I recommend going up through normal dungeons, it will open more special dungeons, and helps you gain rank, which will open even more special dungeons.
Also, be sure to check your group and special dungeons events on http://www.puzzledragonx.com/, it helps you know when to play for special evo.enhance monsters.

As for good monsters, just stick with the one you have for now and save magic stones for godfests (or expanding monster box if needed).

So the Fist of the North Star collaboration started today: I really wanted kenshiro , so I used the only two REM rolls I had to try and get him.

First time I got... Shin. Ok, I kind of know him, and he seems pretty good.

Second roll I got... Shin. Again.

Now I wish that I had saved those stones for a godfest.

I'm going to keep running century's end int (don't have the HP to do the next level up) in the vain hopes of getting the 2% Raoh drop: at least then I can pretend I got something worthwhile out of the last 5 stones I spent.

Edit: apparently the dungeon Raoh is seperate from, and inferior to, the REM one.

I'm so stuck in this game that it's not even funny. I get through a dungeon if i get lucky orbs and a 17.50x damage multiplier by using a 3.5x god like Leilan.
Is that how the game is supposed to go?
Also look at that money, where am I supposed to spend all that..?

As much as I know the game, going for rainbow team as you did is not the most efficient. Better focus on a single or two colors that work well together, get some orbs changers and use well timed skills to destroy big opponents.
Also, do you track events that occur in your group, such as king dragon dungeons and such ?

You're going to need at least some sort of ATK multiplier to get much past the first few dungeons in the game. Combo leads like the Chinese gods are probably the most common way to do it, but even after over a year of playing I'm still not consistent enough to really play Leilan, much less Kirin or Ra. It's really a high-risk high-reward playstyle. If you can get a hold of Da Qiao & Xiao Qiao (DqXq) or Set it is somewhat easier to do because you can use hearts as well.

So my teams grows pretty well.

I have an evolved dryad, evolved naga and evolved lilith. Now I farm for XP monsters during king dragon events.

Also, my Blue Odin is at max level and I cant evolve him because I lack the material (divine mask, big lit) and cant get them in dungeons, they simply one shot me no matter what I do.
I heard about a "resolve team" in this thread that could help me get those, how does that work ?

I am currently tinkering with a resolve team myself in order to tackle to today's expert level Shrine of Spirits dungeon. You need a low level ogre leader (or better yet one of the evolved hybrids) as leader with low hp monsters (ninjas, -lits, etc) as subs. Partner with a friend with the auto heal leader skill like siren, or archangel and you SHOULD be able to heal up enough each round to activate the ogre resolve leader skill which will always leave you with one HP. Haven't tried it yet but todays the day seeing as how I need me some Dublits to finally evolve my Baal.

Another effective strategy for Expert-level Wednesday/Friday dungeons is to take a defense-breaking friend lead like Shiva, stall on the first round until his active is up by matching orbs that don't do any damage, and then activating him and trivially destroying every round thereafter.

It means that, provided you sweep/kill the entire wave of enemies in one turn, the defense break ability will transfer to the next wave. Since the Wednesday/Friday dungeons are high defense, low hp dungeons, you can use this ability on the first wave of enemies and then annihilate every subsequent wave easily with weak attacks.

Yay, this seems great, and easier to achieve than the resolve method.
However, I have no Shivas in my friends and cant find other monster that do that defense reduced to 0 thing.
I guess defense reduced by 75% is not enough ?

Ugh. Four runs and only one of them had any success, offering up none of the evo materials i was looking for. Its seems like any resolve team is pretty much screwed once you run into two or more high def enemies that attack at the same time. Of course this wouldn't an issue if the dungeons stamina cost wasn't so high. Necro I'm going to send you an invite if you don't mind.

You have to be over 70% HP (Some evo'd resolve monsters can do 50%) for the resolve ability to trigger, and it only works for one hit, so any multi-hit attack or attack by more than one enemy will kill you. That means you can take the hit, but you need to heal back up to 70% or higher before you take another one.

If you can find one, a possibly better alternative these days might be a Ultimate evo'd green Odin friend lead, which will reduce all damage by 80% if your HP is full (so basically one hit again) and adds 2,000 HP of auto-heal on each turn on top of that. In the early days of the game one of the popular leader combos was Awoken Odin plus Amaterasu, which combined the autoheal with the damage reduction and made getting through dungeons up to Hera Descended pretty safe, but at the same time very slow. These days the combo has laregly fallen out of favor, but might be able to get you through some of the expert level dailies. Oh, and if you can get a hold of one, bring a poisoner (the most common one being Succubus / Lilith) with you on the Wednesday / Friday dungeon runs, and stall as much as you can to bring it up to save for the last floor. It'll make your life easier.

What I did for the Wednesday/Friday dungeons when I was running them was to put together a team of several dual-attribute ogres until I had leveled up my regular teams to handle them. They're relatively cheap (you'll need some Mythlits and some wood/fire/water keepers, but those should be relatively easy to get even for a low level team) but they have a useful active skill that can kill masks in the Wednesday dungeon and 2 skill boosts apiece (no need to waste Tamadras on them, just feed the ogres two of the same monster before you UEvo them and that will take care of the awakenings.) The dual attributes combined with the active skills will make your life a lot easier. Just try to avoid getting hit, because they have 0 RCV.

Finally managed to max skill and ult Evo my Echidna!
She is awesome and I use her in all of my teams now.



Also max skilled my Burning Maiden, Princess Valkyrie to heartbreak on every 5th turn...
Together with Freyr, Urd, Echidna and a Wood Samurai Ogre she makes a pretty decent mid-game fire team.

Although I can farm Keeper of Rainbow and Mystic Masks reliably I am not strong enough to farm Angelits which I need to ult Evo my Ra... Let´s hope the PEM will be kind to me.

The Hybrid Ogres are highly recommended! The 1st time I used their Leader skill versus a Hades Boss iirc...

Paired up with my green Guan Yu lead (x3.5 ATK for Physical and Dragon) I was able to rush through the second tier tech dungeons with ease. Just watch your RCV...

One last think if you need defense reduction you can farm for example the Flame Knights or the other Knights of colour, they are easily available and max-skilled, I got all of them at max-skill (6 turns) which carries over to the next round after a sweep.

Now how the hell can you max skill her ? If I understand it correctly, the only way is to feed her monster with the same skill, namely in this case : naga or her evolution.
This means you DID farm for lots of Naga and fed them to Echidna hoping for skill up, repeat until you reach skill level 6 ?
