Every once and a while I'll ask someone out and get promptly (brutally) rejected. I'd like to be with someone but I've had to deal with so much rejection that I don't even bother asking anymore. I've been on a couple of (really bad) dates, but for the most part I've been single for about twelve years now. I probably don't have enough drugs or money to be of any interest to them.

I always feel like the posters of such threads are either working in marketing or doing a study or are extremely proud of something they have (accomplished). All of these threads should be locked immediately.

I just didn't think marriage was for me, especially after the string of needy girlfriends I had. I finally found someone who has her own life and doesn't base her happiness solely on our relationship. I think that's important, regardless of whether you want to get married or not.

Been single my whole life. Don't mind it too much, because I'm not a club/bar/party guy, and I'm not going to spend two hours a day gelling my rapidly receding hairline. Instead, I've used that time to get decent at video games, teach myself how to knit; I just started to learn piano, and I'm looking to dabble in indoor gardening.

I'm not opposed to a relationship, but I haven't gotten close to anyone that didn't think all that shit was boring and that I was unremarkable because I couldn't get them invited to the next party I wasn't going to and am not particularly handsome or extroverted.
