I've tried my absolute hardest, but it unfortunately seems that I will have to disable 2nd player again. Testing as the second player caused several glitches that crashed the game, and I could not figure out what was the cause of the issue.

Interesting that you say that trap15. I wonder if this is the same reason why most of Cave's Arrange modes are 1-player only?

Unlikely; my reason is probably because I changed something that I shouldn't have. Such an issue wouldn't occur if they had the source code, because they wouldn't be patching willy-nilly.

Yes, editing began about a week ago. I've been working a bit less intensely on this than I did with DDPA (mostly because I'm generally unfamiliar with Ketsui's mechanics and stage design), but it's progressing nicely.
As far as ideas I've been using, I have so far used mostly my own ideas. The ideas in here, while mostly good, aren't really what I'm looking to do with my arrange, so I've been coming up with ideas as I go, I guess. I'm also not going to be releasing my ideas that are being implemented until release, so you just have to wait and see!

Yes, I will definitely try to make sure it works on a real PCB. I'm not so sure how likely it'll be for me to add a switch in the test menu for it, but I'll certainly try.

About the glitch that makes 2nd player easier to play on ketsui.
It also happens when on shmupmame v3.0b you start recording an imput record even if you are the first player.

When I start the game with the above said emulator recording the imput, the game is made easier in some parts. The way to know if the bug will happen is on the main screen: Rank and scores for extends aren't shown.
I'll record a video when I can.
Edit: Tried doing a record imput on mameplus ash build and there was no problem... the bug only happens on shmupmame v3.0b. Can you try to fix that?

It sounds like it's clearing your NVRAM to all 0, which is wrong (and sets the difficulty to Easy). You need to go into the test menu and reset the NVRAM whenever you play, it seems.

I'm actually really really close to a release. I'm just putting the final touches mostly, then I'm going to release it to a small group for final testing.

EDIT: To those hoping for a switch in the service menu, that's unfortunately not going to happen. My changes are too extensive, and free ROM space is too small. You're going to have to buy a spare EPROM (I'll look up what kind and put it on the release page when I'm done) and burn it to that, then you can just swap the EPROMs. Sorry about that!
