Game modes sound really good. It is nice to have some good news about the game since by the end of this month is going to be released. What makes me worry is the possible lack of copies. I can't buy it right now and I pressume that its going to have a very short print.

Oh, give me a break. You've already got FOUR Raiden games on the 360, one of them being new.

The amount of Cave releases on X360 (boxed versions & separate XBLA titles) thus far: 10.
The amount of non-Cave shmups released on X360 thus far: 15, of which 3 are compilations of several distinct titles in one package. (I'm not counting Aegis Wing, Geometry Wars, and other stuff like that here.)
The amount of non-Cave shmups scheduled for 2011, not including Eschatos and the packed-in freebies: 4.
Companies other than Cave represented on X360: G.rev, Gulti, Triangle Service, Treasure, Konami, Qute, Seibu Kaihatsu/Moss, 5pb., Taito, SNK, Irem, Warashi, Natsume, Alfa System. Raizing, too, if you don't mind Yagawa's games such as Ibara and Pink Sweets (which are certainly Raizing in spirit) released under the Cave label. Of all the high-tier shmup developers of 90's/00's, it's only missing Psikyo, Takumi, and Toaplan.

You're going lengths to ignore the numbers, if I may say so. If you look for traditional shooters on X360, it already has plenty that bear no relation to Cave whatsoever. In fact, all things considered, of all systems released in the last 10-12 years its shmup library is only second to PS2's. While X360 may not be able to outperform it in sheer quantity, it already rivals it full-on in quality of selection, and as more quality rereleases and new games are made, it will confidently gain the edge already in foreseeable future.

I never got a chance to play Judgment Silversword, so I'm definitely interested in this release. The price is a bit high, though, so I might wait Shmups Judgment upon release.

I became a lot more interested in this when I saw the name Supersweep pop up in the trailer. The first track in the second trailer sounded particularly cool.

Damn, right after I realized that it was coming out the 24th and not the 30th like I thought. Ah well. Here's hoping it arrives before my school's out.

Bummer! Good news for my moth-stricken wallet, though. PAL Deathsmiles was only a few weeks ago, and I'm planning to pick up Seisou Kouki Strania, MMP & PS, Raiden Fighters Aces and this - all games that are being (or were) released within weeks of each other. I'm far too skint for such a splurge (especially as two of them will cost over £50 each), and yet I know I won't be able to resist any of them for very long. For now, I'm saved! :P

Well shoot. More time to spend on Pink Sweets I guess. Bullet Soul and Akai Katana are still coming up as well.

I think what's more likely is that development is probably done, but production and distribution infrastructure were damaged in the recent events, or shipping vehicles are more urgently needed elsewhere, something along those lines. Just my guess.

At any rate, I'll just be happy to know when things return to order.

Yeah, I'd say it's quite likely that a lot of the discs are printed as well at this point. It mostly seems to be an issue of available resources for getting things out there. Plus a lot of people in Japan probably aren't particularly concerned with buying games right now.

Yeah. Despite being the title I'm most excited for this year. With all that's happened recently, my mind definitely ain't on games.

Either way, even if it did come out soon, along with everything else...I'd hardly be able to play anything properly with this recent arm injury

My copy arrived today! The shrinkwrap was torn, part of the case was broken off and there was all kinds of sand and seaweed inside. I tried to boot it up, but it was too damaged. I attempted to contact the seller about a refund but got no reply.

Sad. While the game is likely printed and ready to ship given its original 3/24 release date, I bet the shipping vehicles are needed for more urgent matters. Hopefully things get a little more sorted soon- it will take a while for Japan to totally bounce back from this shit, their situation being worse than Katrina already.

:(

So this is delayed? Any word on possible release date? VideoGameImports.com still says it's expected in stock tomorrow.
