Thanks Icarus. The first video shows the new bosses and levels isn't it??? Because I have the psp game and I've never played those levels and bosses. I have also noticed the higher number of enemies wich is something rather interesting. As for the 3 players mode while it can be fun to play it with some friends it looks like it makes the game easier, . Anyway I really hope that it has a proper home port for 360 or PS3 sice playing this game on my PsP really hurts....

Please note under the "Arcade Exclusive?" heading, where they say "The game is based upon Darius Burst which was released on the Sony PSP and Taito will be releasing an Another Chronicle update on the PSP in 2011 as well, but even then it will be a different experience between the arcade and handheld versions. So in that sense DBAC in arcades is a unique and exclusive experience."

Has *anyone* heard any sort of confirmation of this, besides on this site? I've not heard a thing about an Another Chronicle update on the PSP scheduled for this year, but maybe I've completely missed out.

Or are they just blowing smoke?

LOL. April Fool. If real, this would probably be only in a few select amusement parks for $5 a credit. I thought of that Galaxian 3 from Namco- the original theme park version with 28 players.

I'm still craving a console version. The original DB could be thrown in as bonus content.

Yeah, and that's why I'm kind of wondering about the "on the PSP" part of the statement.

Actually, I'm wondering about the statement as a whole, but the biggest question mark I have is due to this being the *only* place I've seen or heard it talked about. I'd *love* to get DBAC for the PSP. But is it a reality? Or anything close?

DBAC isn't exactly cutting-edge, but I don't think the PSP could handle a faithful port-- especially not with the 32:9 playfield. I was thinking along the lines of XBLA or PSN. Maybe PSVita (after the arcade run)

We're so lucky to have an full Another Chronicle cab in Casino Arcade in London.

Today me, CHI, JDE, hzt and MX7 played the four player game for a bit - it's bloody amazing fun on such a huge cab.

I think it's a good game too; this early it's hard to tell how much it's the novelty of the cab itself that makes it so fun.

I also spoke to the aracde's owner about the cab too. This guy has been in the biz since knowing Nolan Bushnell and loc-testing late seventies stuff, so he knows his stuff. He distributes cabs (including those from Taito) across Europe.

Here's what he said about the Another Chronical cabs:

• 200 were made
• They retail at £12,000 approx
• Ours is the only one in Europe, but one is on it's way for a 'long term loc-test' in Italy. There are a couple in America and a couple in Hong Kong, and all the rest are in Japan
• It is based on Viewlix's, but not two base model cabs bolted together. The cab (the actual piece of furniture itself) is built from the ground up

Are you kidding? Its still the most advanced place I know of. Yeah sure the Underground tube trains are crowded, but it smashes places like Brussels (where I'm living now).

I popped in to Casino on the way home from work and put a pound in, Darius is great fun and very impressive.
