I just came across this website to realize that almost every single thread here was full elitist douches thinking they're the best thing ever made since sliced bread and constantly dissing people not being able to "1 credit clear X game" or posting low scores, let alone those who get flamed for not being able to buy "this" pcb and therefore playing "this" game on console.

Could someone enlighten me on that ?

Why most people here make it look like my favourite genre is only being played by the worst kind of gamers ever ?

I was rather happy at first to find a shoot-em up related forum with such great scorers, but it really saddens me to see that most of them are so full of themselves, and constantly have to dishearten and discourage those who want to try to become better. And it's a shame, really.

Maybe i'm just wrong, but from what i've seen on the threads that showed interest to me, it made me quite sad.

I came across this website a few years back, firmly believing I was one of the few who enjoyed shooters out there - how wrong I was!

The level of knowledge and the commitment shown by so many completely surprised me and made me realise that despite my love for the genre, I was (and still am) somewhat of a casual compared to many here.

I am an infrequent visitor only because I have numerous interests else where but I personally think that perhaps you misread the vast knowledge and dedication here as elitism which is a shame as I have never been made to feel anything other than welcome
