Gunbird 2 getting the "Let's ruin a classic" treatment
Re: Gunbird 2 getting the "Let's ruin a classic" treatment
Am I the only one who hates that these are PSP ports? I hate playing shmups on the PSP, whether they're good or bad ports. I want Strikers and Gunbird on a home console not a shitty portable console.

I was really just referring to Strikers III or any of the others released after II. I'm a big Strikers fan but hated the fact that Strikers Plus (or whatever name it was) came out only for the PSP.Jeneki wrote:Buy a Japanese Saturn or PS1?steveovig wrote:I want Strikers and Gunbird on a home console not a shitty portable console.

Ah ok, that's understandable. I don't care for playing fast-motion games on a tiny portable either.steveovig wrote:I was really just referring to Strikers III or any of the others released after II. I don't think the PSP is shitty, but I agree it's pretty lousy for shooters. At least for me. Since I'm in the average to poor range as a player, I really don't need the added disadvantages that come with the smaller screen and controls.steveovig wrote:Am I the only one who hates that these are PSP ports? The PSP is terrific for RPGs, puzzlers, and a few other things.

No, I don't think the PSP has a shitty library. I just hate the D-pad and analog stick. Also, my hands tend to get cramped playing Gradius on that thing. IMO, Gradius Collection for the PS2 would've been droolworthy. Plus, I would've actually imported the Salamander and Parodius packs too!professor ganson wrote:I don't think the PSP is shitty, but I agree it's pretty lousy for shooters. At least for me. Good point. How much nicer had those collections been for the PS2! Think of how nicely that Fantasy Zone collection for PS2 came together. Something similar for the Gradius or Parodius series would have been really nice.steveovig wrote: IMO, Gradius Collection for the PS2 would've been droolworthy.
