I've been working on this for a long time, but I'll be honest, I expected to spend most of the two weeks to maybe get my first letter score. At the very earliest, maybe this weekend when I'd have more time. So I'm kinda confused now. Maybe it's time to practice up on Glow Squid, I died as soon as I made it there out of excitement.

Stage order is the exact same every time anyway (unless you edit it). Savestate to lock in stage order is useful for Psikyo games, although dubious. Also Batrider special course.
Consistent stage order in Psikyo games is just a matter of resetting with 'shift-F3'; the stage order of the games is fixed on the first credit after power on. It deviates after that based on a variety of factors.
But the default stage order isn't the most advantageous. That's why using a savestate is somewhat dubious. We didn't allow it when we played Dragon Blaze in a tourney. In theory, it should be ok, since you could just reset every time you didn't get a favorable order, but in practice, it lets you get a whole hell of a lot more high potential runs in.

Whoa, some great progress. A letter score might be possible if I keep this up.

It's getting better all the time!

donotcare95 - Free Agents - 1,119,170 - Plateau - Gain (ABC) - MAME

The only game I've enjoyed more than this one so far is RFJ, and once I've gotten better at this and am actually scoring well it'll probably surpass that.

You know, I've had this too long without a single credit played for a very long time. And now I'm back on it... well; I haven't felt this exhilarated by a shmup since Raiden IV Double Play. wow - this game is horrendously excellent!

I like like, like this game. With this, Strikers and RFJ I might forget I even had to experience the horrors of TDII.

i can't get this to work, is the bit at the end, a then b then c then start or all at the same time? sometimes it looks like it's worked but then i still only have the 4 ships.

also just to confirm - i need to reset the game after each credit (or equivalent savestate or something) otherwise it gets harder each time?

sorry don't have a score yet can't break 1m so far

A then B then C then start.

There isn't much rank carryover if you aren't getting far in the game, so at this point I wouldn't worry about resetting every game. After enough games you will work up a persistent rank increase, but it may take a while.

Alternatively, zakk's patch will fix both these worries for you.

Alright, a little better. One day, I'll actually quit dying at the same point in Plant and my scoring runs will be something more than trying to milk an extra ten thousand or so out of the game up to that point of inevitable death.

Hoping for a somewhat good final score (tourney-wise), but I don't think I'll get it, since everyone else has probably played this a bunch. It's a shame too, because 399 is a really annoying score >_>

If I were in a team I could have submitted my scores. STGT looks fun.
