why don't we keep the sobbery at a low.... I own alot of PCBs now also but it doesn't make me sick to my stomach to see a port. I'm glad to see it... at this point I'm happy to see the genere alive at all in any way right now.

it might turn out quite decent... it sounds death smiles is decent.

Holy crap, this is the best gaming news in weeks.

Mushihimesama was one of my favorite shmups in years, so I'm totally stoked for a port. If I didn't have a JP 360 I'd get one just for this, no question.

Hell, I want to buy a second now just because... not that I have that much cash floating around, but the desire is there

Good news! I have only managed to play this game a couple times in a stingy Osaka arcade. Maybe they will include BL as DLC too?

I think it's great they are "refining" the graphics to be shown in HD glory but since this is an arcade port I hope they have an option to output in 240p and respect its original resolution or at least add some kind of scanline overlay.

Or you could just use a CRT monitor..

There's little a CRT can do if the resolution is not 240p I'm afraid... no scanlines below 480p.

The Xbox 360's video scaler/encoder can't do less than 480p60 (the SD output is always interlaced from that) so unless they fill it up with display options like Raiden Fighters Aces you're out of luck on that one. Probably why they're re-rendering the sprites at high resolution for Death Smiles and (allegedly) Futari as well.

I'm happy that the game is coming out on the 360 but I'm still not too sure if Cave will get it "right" this time.

As we know Cave ported the Pachis on the Saturn (Atlus just published the games) and Ibara/Mushi on the PS2. By playing all the ports the games are playable but have major annoyances that would drive me to buy the PCBs.

I'll have to see if Cave does it "right" this time, meh.

true but you can also use the Extron Emotia and convert 480i into 240p... once I get the 4 BNC to Scart cables I'll do some tests with DDP: DOJ on the 360 + Emotia + XRBG-3.

Ordered my jap system with DS. I didn't see all that titles coming but anyway, I need to play MSF 1.5. I dreamt to play the damn game for so long after watching the insanity dvd over and over again.

This is the best news of the month.

Question : will a PAL hard drive work on a JP system?
