Ah, those 108-in-1 MVS carts are bootlegged ones anyways. Best to stick with the original MVS carts for the time being...sure, you might have to spend a bit more but it is worth it in the end with the knowledge that you're dealing with geniune MVS hardware and software.
Suppose if SNK did implement some kind of encrpytion scheme for their MVS carts...could they still have been cracked and copied later on? Even Seibu Kaihatsu got in on the encryption scheme (but never fully implemented) with it's Raiden II/Raiden DX PCBs as mentioned by fellow shmupper rtw. ^_~
They did implement a hardware encryption scheme, in fact many different ones, there is a custom ASIC on most newer MVS carts (which I think started on KOF99) which decrypts the data.
Obviously it wasn't very strong and still got cracked in the end, I think this is why they kept changing it.

Keep on living in your dream world. 108 in 1 plays like the original games; and you don't have to worry about swapping cart anymore. it turns your MVS slot into a mini console; holding 1P for 5s brings you back to the game selection screen ~_O
