seriously, a ps3 release would have been even better given the fact its a 3d game (imagine high res tf, yes i know but..) it would have given the tf series a good popularity boost, now as its only being released on ps2 and i guess a jp only release, it will be sadly another niche shmup at the end of a dying system.
I wouldn't expect to see this game for the PS3 on a store shelf.
So apparently...
Gargoyle in TFVI => Gargoyle Perfect
Iron Maiden in TFVI => Flame Maiden
I don't know what the Stage 3 boss is called. I can't tell whether it says "ケルビムパープル" or "ケルピムパープル"

PS2 is dying? It's still got at least another 5 years left in it.
And it's still making Sony more money than the PS3 (in that it's making money, rather than loosing it!), and PS3 game sales have only recently taken over PS2 game sales...
As for on topic - I'm so excited, and pre-order is placed even though I already have pre-ordered Ketsui DS for the same month.
The PS2's amazing shooter catalogue is once again improved!

Thunder Force VI is being developed by an internal group at Sega headed by Tez Okada, the eccentric mind who's worked on games like Segagaga and Astro Boy: Omega Factor. "Thunder Force is finally making a return," Okada told Weekly Famitsu magazine this week. "Development is being handled by a new staff, but we've put together a team with lots of shooter experience (not to mention being really big fans of Thunder Force), so I don't think fans of the old games will be disappointed. After this, I'd like to hopefully release the sequel to a game that will probably surprise you...assuming everything goes well with this game, of course."
You guys think they're going to use the same soundtrack from Broken Thunder? Or (since I can't read Japanese) does it show any music creidts in that article?
I could totally deal with a Elemental Master sequel. But a new 2D playing shinobi would be gift from god.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
