Thanks, but I already found it with google earlier, when you said that there is a portuguese translation somewhere. It was a great moment to finally boot up the game in English \o/ (although this very game was what made me start studying Japanese ages ago). After that is wasn't so great anymore. It's a nice rpg-style adventure, but time has been merciless. The game content is very interesting, but the user interface is tiresome and can really make playing frustrating. The same happens in many legendary games of the past, for example the otherwise mind-blowing SNATCHER, or Shin Megami Tensei. Then again in some old Ultima games the UI is still very fast and intuitive, so they remain vital in the new millennium.

Anyways, I played through the first island in Shalom and beat the boss, but then I started to doubt if I want to go through with the rest. Probably =) It was a nice surprise that there was loads of Konami-style humor included, the conversations between characters made me laugh many times. And I finally understood an old and obvious joke, about the name of the evil Master of Darkness in the Knightmare games. His name is "Hudnos", which can be easily reorganized to Konami's rival company "Hudson".. d'oh
Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.
