They got a new entry up on their developer's diary today.
I think I'm going to finish reading the rest of it after I've played the game. I don't want to spoil myself too much.

I really hated the first Nanostray, so it's hard for me to get excited about this new one. The horizontal perspective really looks a lot better in the trailer than the vertical stuff...I think that's just the nature of the small resolution of the DS. It seems they have learned a lot from their mistakes the first time around so we'll have to see how it goes. I'll definitely try it out, but I can't say I've got the highest of hopes yet.

Just read the laughable EGM review. Apparently it's too hard because it only gives you two continues, unlike Ghost Squad which was too easy for giving you infinite continues. They also failed to mention anything of worth, such as mechanics, scoring, unlockables, and basically anything else that has to do with the game.

That's putting it mildly! Between their review of this game, and Omega 5, I think it's time for me (well, past time) to call up GameCrazy and see if I can change my MVP subscription.koda wrote:EGM is a complete joke.
At any rate, I the first one is tough, so why should this one be any different? I love the first one, so I probably pick this one up.

Then again, maybe not. Not sure where the contributor got the info, but GameFAQs has it listed as coming out on the 12th of February now.
Here's another preview while we're waiting:

"In space no one can here you become obsolete."
Shitty grammar.
"But that hasn’t kept Shin’en from doing what they do best. One of a handful of Japanese developers dedicated to the shooter market,"
*shakes head*
"they’re the only ones that have managed to push their agenda stateside by creating the pinnacle of handheld shooters for the world’s number one selling gaming app— the wonderful Nintendo DS."
Gaming app? The word app is plain ass annoying when used correctly ("killer app.") When used the wrong ways it's like getting unlubricated dick up the ass.
"Like all great space shooters N2 gets it all right: three-way selectable firing à la R-Type and Gradius—check;"
Right
.
"N2 also features single- and multi-card two-player coop options"
Interesting but by this point the author lost all credibility.
"The most mind-blowing aspect of N2 though has to be its graphics, which either rival or surpass anything on the Wii; no shit. "
Just plain hilarious; no shit.

OH WELL... as i can see, you only read what you wanted, the way you wanted... so, yeah, im gonna write it for you again, this time in uppercase, so MAYBE you can read it better:nem wrote:Yeah, I hate it when developers delay products to make them better. I want my bug-ridden, incomplete software now!
THE GAME HAS BEEN FINISHED LONG AGO (Sometime in october or so), THEY WERE HAVIN ISSUES WITH THE PUBLISHIN PART, TIL THEY GOT MAJESCO TO PUBLISH THE GAME... AND THATS WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE RELEASED IN JANUARY.
got it now? or should i just take you as a retard?¿
oh, and BTW, theres no such thing as perfection (AKA bug free) in software development... so drop the sarcasm already.
So you're never going to buy the game because it's not being released when you wanted it? LOL

There's tons of games that got delayed to Q1, Q2, or beyond, of this year, if nothing else because of fears from developers that their games would be drowned in the crapload of games that was late 2007.
