Q: Ideal home design and why? Bungalo, 2-story, townhouse, shitty little condo, etc.
A: I've actually had more space than I need before. Living alone, I only need a bedroom, a man cave, and a living room. I could easily achieve this in 1000 square feet, which I know is big to some people, but I'm from America... and I've lived in shoe boxes for a large part of my life so fuck off.

Q: What were you for Halloween this year?

Buying a girlfriend a $400 scarf for her b-day a week or two before breaking up.

Would you sober up and abandon your friends in order to pursue an ideal job opportunity?

Not much of a story, just a matter of the planets aligning correctly. This was late 2005, and I was still a noob in Japan. I had picked up a pretty steady girl by my third week here. My ex-gf had come to Tokyo for a visit and I had just met another girl while out with the boys a few nights before. At the time 2 on any given day was fairly easy, but with the ex-gf in town I had gotten to number 3 and I figured that I most likely had a shot at 4, so why not go for it? The 4th was a craigslist pickup I had met a few weeks earlier who was wanting to do language/fluid exchange, and we finally sealed the deal. Sleazy.

Temporarily? Sure. I think I already did once if you want to get technical. Not sure if you can call it "abandoning" though. Providing food and heat is kind of an important thing!

Almost did. We were both into each other, but I knew this was going to destroy my friendship with the guy, and I don't think I'd last long with the girl anyway, so I let it go. She found someone else, my friendship is still strong, life goes on. Thinking with the wrong head will get you in trouble.

Q: Dual Shock or Xbox 360 Controller?
A: Xbox 360. I've never cared for the position of the Left stick on PS controllers. Namely because it's an odd angle to keep my finger at for a long time and at least with the right my finger moves about a bit. Also, an even bigger point of contention is the style of the stick. Concave beats convex for both comfort and grip. I fin my thumb can easily slide off of the Dualshock stick.

Q: That was an interesting question, so how about this: Dreamcast vs. Gamecube controller?

A: Gamecube controller, for sure. The Dreamcast controller is basically the epitome of bad controller design: hard to hold, hard to use properly, easy to slip your thumb off the stick. Gamecube controller is, in my opinion, one of the best controller designs: small, easy to hold, big and well-placed buttons, decent D-Pad, analog shoulder pads that don't have ridiculous feedback like the PS3/360, plenty of buttons.

Q: Keeping the trend of controller questions: What is your favorite (or least favorite, your pick) controller, and why?

A: Going with favorite because you already explained why the DC controller is so bad. It does look cool though.
JP-style Saturn pad is my favorite. Nice number of buttons, in 6 button layout, fantastic d-pad, and is rather comfortable to hold. The US big boxy model 1 controller isn't terrible , but the d-pad is noticeably worse [even if not actually bad]. I would say the Saturn 3D pad, but the stick feels really crappy, even if it's better than the DC one.

Q: What is your least favorite console?
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

null1024 wrote: Q: What is your least favorite console?
A: Sticking strictly with ones I own, probably the Goldstar 3DO. I actually really like the 3DO library, but the Goldstar console is just extremely poorly built. Why eject a try when you can just eject the entire drive? Thankfully I have an FZ-1 and FZ-10 which are far better consoles.

If we're taking the library into account as well, then probably the Sega Master System. There just aren't a lot of great games release for it in North America and the ports of good games, like Double Dragon, are usually inferior.

Q: Favourite underdog console, based solely on the games available in your region. No imports
