^Thanks ill6 :D There's a Stork Delivery Boom at the moment.
btw. I know you've got a Naomi Border Down kit. Is it a cumbersome system to get :?:
I know nothing about Naomi other than playing on the system.

Cheers, DEL

NAOMI System is quite a large piece of kit for something that plays discs. If you're planning on getting one, I'd think it'd be better to have it in a cab rather than plugged into a supergun, since the system dwarfs quite a lot of superguns, and keeping it in a cab keeps it safe from knocks while it's powered on.

Congrats on the new progeny, by the way. Been out of the loop for a while. :|

delboy: naomi is JVS rather than jamma (JVS is kinda like jamma part 2: the bitch is back). i think you need a 3.3v power supply, and the audio will need to be amplified.

you can get it to work on a supergun, but you might wanna enquire with the guys on arcadeotaku about what you need

Thanks guys. I'll ask around at IC09. It may be that I just stick with the port, but you never know...

Yeah, no serious Border Down player should have to miss out on that little flock of birds from the Naomi version.

Seriously though, that's always puzzled me; beautiful as Border Down is I have trouble believing that it's pushing the Dreamcast to the limit, necessitating the birds to be cut from the port.

Congrats Del!

With regards to Naomi, I've a full Naomi 1 or 2 (got both, one's dirt cheap, the other not) + GDrom setup + PSU + Capcom I/O (needed if you wanna play it on a Jamma cab/gun) for sale after/at Insert Coin, and my homeboy LIME_01R (Ealing massive, represent!) is likely to be offering his Border Down for sale at the show, too. </pimping>

Chi_Ryu - I'm very tempted indeed, if the price is right. Seek out a guy with a charcoal BATRIDER T Shirt on saturday.

Rupert H - Birds! That's all I need right now is Birds:!:
The up and down scrolling might be a bit different on the Naomi original too. I 6D ALLed both the Naomi and the DC versions, but I reckon I'd like to own the original  . Coming back to the game for the last week has reminded me how much I like it. Perhaps my all time No.1

I'll be wandering around in a staff T-shirt, look for the fella with a goatee and long dark hair. Sadly whilst the Naomi 1 motherboard is cheap as chips (as in £30), the GD-Rom and I/O isn't, though I'd be just looking for what I paid :{

Need to meet & speak to you, spadgy or one of the other hardcore Casino crew anyway about DeathSmiles MegaBlack Label (as in... fancy the PCB sitting down in Casino for a month? :P)

Ha ha, yes. If it wasn't for the fact that there doesn't appear to be anyone living there, I would have walked around, convinced I was going to be mugged all the time :o

I'm afraid it's next Thursday for me.

Had an awesome night there last night with CHI and RupertH on Tatsujin. I will get off of level one next visit! (I can't even beleive I'm having to say that about a game.

(And RupertH - I'll leave you feedback now for Secret Files - no need to return it as I didn't pay, but you put in enough effort to waarent a +1...)

Yeah, I was there. Unfortunately I'm a miserable bastard :)

I was tempted to introduce myself towards the end of the Saturday, but by then I'd had a few pints and didn't think I'd make a very good impression  Also instrumental was the fact I was with my girlfriend and didn't want to abandon her. I think she was afraid of being abducted by the irate nerds she was beating on the fighting games.

I was nice seeing everyone from afar though!

I popped down yesterday lunchtime in passing (about 2.30pm). Wasted a quid playing like a muppet on Progear and then realised it just wasn't my day for shmupping and gave up :D

I missed out on Thursday in the end as my mate got me free press tickets to that new Kung-Fu based west end show. We got very-close-to front row seats and a free bar and stuff, so I couldn't say no, but my advice - don't bother. Aside from the odd occasional display of amazing weapon skills, it was absolutely shit. Would have rather spent the evening being messed with by Tatsujin...

I'm up for a visit this week though, so somebody let me know if they're down for an evening...
