ESPGaluda II would be great. Even though they seem a little less liked i really enjoy those games, they're a little more within my skill level than many recent Cave games.

I'm guessing you haven't played ESPGALUDA II and just guess it's at the same level as the first. It is not.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. It does look like a nice progression from the first game though, in difficulty and mechanics.

I've watched the videos of Galuda II a ton of times. It looks freaking awesome(but difficult, yeah). Looks far more over the top, in terms of design and presentation than the first one(which was my problem with the first one).

I'm way more excited for it than Futari, if only for the fact that the Mushi games play just about like Do DonPachi, without a major twist. Not that that's bad(DDP is awesome), but Galuda's twist is very addictive when scoring, and just makes things interesting overall. And I like it's theme way better too. More adult and violent.

I guess I won't know how good it is until Spring. Oh well, i've waited like 4 and half years already...

I watch ESP Galuda vids and they always look boring as shit to me, but when I play the game I have an absolute blast. I'm guessing the same holds true for part II as well because the DVD just looks kind of meh to watch.

BTW: I love the cover artwork of the port.

But that won't support the company at all! If you think buying multiple copies is going to have any effect you're obviously insane. Blah fucking blah blah blah.

It's an amazing game, really, really deep. The 'overdrive' zesshikai mechanic reaps massive scoring rewards at quite a risk - but you have the option to ignore it completely.
It's also the nicest looking Cave game imo, and even though DFK is beautiful, the background locations feel more varied in E2.

You guys are going to love it... Especially when that stage 3 music kicks in at the midboss... it's pure shmup euphoria...fuck, I'm going to go and play it.

It's not for everyone... it's pretty hard.
And if you want to play it for score (and everything else would make you a loser anyway) it's even harder.
But i do agree that it has really nice backgrounds, although i hate the Futari-bullets in this game. They don't fit the style imo.
(Or is it actually Galuda2-bullets in Futari?)

I think it's Galuda 2 bullets in Futari (Futari recycles some of the explosion effects and debris too.)

It's only made harder if you go into the overdrive mode, because for every bullet you cancel you get a shitload more and you need to try to lead them around the screen because they zero in on you directly. Stick to the normal mode and you can make it easier for yourself - even though it's a tougher game overall (I haven't managed to pass the stg 5 boss yet.)

It's exhilarating to use the zesshikai overdrive though, simply because the screen is awash with points.

Man, you guys and your talking about Gal 2. I've wanted to play that game ever since I saw some dude streaming it. It looks just awash with bullets. It made me feel like I was in an ocean.

I think it's only like that when they constantly go into overdrive mode for the high scores. Makes tons of bullets appear and chase you about.

That is a pretty nice cover on galuda 2... it's a very pretty game, to me it's probably their best looking game (I haven't played the newest DDP).

This was my 1st kit that I got my hands on and like it quite a bit, but overall I enjoy Mushi 2 (I have only played black label) more.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I think we'll have better luck waiting for an XS Games port with US translation.

I've never heard more mixed opinions on a cave title than I have on IBL.
