Was reading Sakari Masaki (port director for 5pb)'s blog yesterday and it seems that he's got some free time lately, so maybe the game is done. Now as for when it ships, still stupidly vague.pixelcorps wrote:so if the samples are out, whats with the delay?

Argh, I really wanted to be playing this at least in January.

There's always a chance.PsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:OT:Mushi Futari have any chance of being ported????
It looks a lot better now than it did last year. Given Futari's popularity, if it comes out it'll likely be sooner than say, Muchi Muchi Pork.
They've always seemed to talk about it as coming out after, and afaik nothing has changed about that.Anyway, is it safe to say that Ketsui's coming out after this? Or at the same time.. or at all..

True. But considering a MMP port will never come out (just like a Pink Sweets port will never come out), that doesn't exactly help in narrowing down Futari's release. How soon is "sooner than never"?CStarFlare wrote: Given Futari's popularity, if it comes out it'll likely be sooner than say, Muchi Muchi Pork.

Meh, if MMP was ported it would sell because of fat lolis and nothing else. I've had MMP, and while fun, if you don't like Ibara (or basically any shmup that focuses on score over survival), then just forget about it entirely. I don't think it's going to be ported in the future, but Futari is possible given that the previous game in the series was, and since, I suppose, it's "popular".
But then again Ketsui is "popular" and the port is currently AWOL, so I don't know. It's difficult for people to lay down such cash for something they've never played before, but the resell demand is pretty high so if someone buys Futari, the chances of them selling it here are high. I don't think there has been a single Futari or Ketsui board on these forums that has lasted 2 weeks (observing over the past 5 months).

That was just a placeholder date. I highly doubt an English import site is going to get the official date before Famitsu or a Japanese sales website.Elixir wrote: - Someone here received an email saying DOJBL ships in June, which means Ketsui could come after it
So basically nobody fucking knows. AWOL.

It's still a grey area and nobody really knows when either game will be getting released, so all we can do is wait until next year and hope more information arises.originalz wrote:That was just a placeholder date. I hope not, a PSP release would be amazing. Especially considering that the system is region-free and they've sold such a ridiculously large amount of units. Dunno if a shmup would really work on that screen though who knows, the genre is definitely suited to portable gaming though in my opinion.Kiken wrote:I think NCSX got a little confused....

I was getting at how shmups are easy pick-up and play games and suited to short bursts of play more than anything. But yeah screensize could be an issue, I wouldn't worry about bullet count though the PSP is more than powerful enough to chuck some sprites around lol.jonny5 wrote:really high bullet count + very small screen + awkward controls=fail

I don't think voiding your warantee and having to do all this crap to get a decent d-pad is anywhere near reasonable.
