Oddly enough I observed a random dude on the subway playing some danmaku biz on his phone the other day - looked kind of like a Dodonpachi clone, on the between stages screen it said 'GOOD JOB' at the top. It appeared to be an Android phone of some type - no idea what game it was, but it appeared to be pretty manic, it had big stars that seemed to work like hypers in DOJ too. Graphics were decent as well.

What struck me the most was the guy was actually playing properly, tap dodging through bullet clouds and stuff. I actually stood and watched him play until he got off, lolz.

Went to see the 3D ver. of Point Break in the theatre. During the scene where two built, oily, shirtless men are beating the living crap out of each other, body blows echoing around the auditorium, the girl I'm with suddenly punches me full in the side of the face, leans over and whispers, "4D".

I didn't even have time to say "WTF", but I couldn't stop laughing for ages.

Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

So very much this.

In other news, good guy Elon Musk got $770M richer (on paper, but still) that day as the DoT extended a tax credit for EVs.

Even better, though, Shkreli's "charm offensive" will only just make things worse for him in court. I don't think an insanity plea is going to work here. (For old times' sake, remember how much people lost their shit over the Martha Stewart insider trading? Shkreli's antics and worse make that look like basically nothing, which is what it was.)

On top of Shkreli's arrest, that 5-star d-bag Ethan Couch (rich 16-year old kid who got off easy after driving a truck while drunk, killing four innocents and crippling two of his friends, due to a successful "Affluenza" explanation by a psychiatrist) is said to have been caught breaking the terms of his parole, and is now on the run along with his d-bag mom. While it would be better if he got caught and tossed in jail (plus getting ass-raped), I'm glad to hear he's royally f-ed by now.

Looks like they got them.

Didn't really follow the case, but the defense that someone is IRL King Joffrey and has the morality and culpability of an anal wart kinda makes me want that person imprisoned and/or shot. Safety first! I guess favourable treatment on the explicit grounds of being human garbage is at least some sort of rebuke.

Why didn't you just carefully ask what game it was?

Too popular, although I think its peak time may have passed in favour of an (admittedly very cute) Candy Crush clone.

But you still see people ferociously finger wagging on their screen quite often, which is def. Thunder Raid because there are boost power-ups that give you a brief period of invincibility while the ship races upscreen. You need to wag the ship left and right as fast as possible to suck up the incoming coins/points.

Fluttering out of my SFC Cotton 100% manual this afternoon, is it a moth? Is it a reg? No, it's super 1337 hax hot off the 1994 newspress! Clipped out and stored for easy reference, dawww. Image Mucho manloves @ Japanese collectors. I shudder at the tripe I scribbled in my old manuals. I think my favourite bit of gaming tat is the thirty year-old unscratched scratch n' win from FC Gradius - frosty self-control!

And in a potential blow for the "its a prank bro!" paedophilia defense, internet scat monster Nick Bate has been found guilty on all counts and awaits sentencing.

Wolves officially spotted where I live. Last time was probably over 80 years ago, if not 100.

Since France definitely exterminated its own wolves population sometime before WWII, those are grey wolves that migrated from Italy in the early 90's, and their population is growing slowly in as humans desert rural areas and forests grow back (yes France is going back to the Dark Ages).

I hope I'll get a chance to see them one day, and better; take a few pictures.

Hell yeah, we've got more wolves in Michigan now too. Cute fuzzies, or something. Also this was cute.

In other news, I'm closing in on a month of my PC being Macromedia Flash-free! Woohoo! If you have any flash games or watch video feeds that still use a Flash player, just use Chrome or the standalone Flash players.

Britfordshire, Europastan: Ooh guvna! An area man has had his collar felt after receiving a suspended sentence only to tell the judge "SUCK MUH DICK" via Facebook!

I wonder what they'll bang him up on? Is this a CYBER CRIMEZ :o Guess he'll figure out the finer points of suspended sentencing either way >_>

What would really make me smile is the full, unexpurgated edition of "Britishisms for POLICE BRUTALITY!" Also something about "getting one's collar felt" reminds me of nightstick-assisted prolapse, brrrr. Not a pleasant thing, ey matey.

Yeowch! Me ol' village plod never got quite that hands-on!

There's probably a rhyming slang for that. Iwo Jima / Abner Louima? >_> Certainly would entail a quite severe case of the ol' Rockfords. ^_x
