Nice Pickups Ghegs. I picked up Hyper Lode Runner the other week on the Famicom disk System. I only picked it up because it was cheap (£15 Brand-new deleivered) but after putting a little time into it I love it! There are ao many little tricks and intricacies that aren't obvious at first, lovely little game.

I looked on eBay for F1 Sensation last week but I couldn't see it, doh.

I thought Hyper Lode Runner was a GB exclusive. Asked if that version's any good in the other thread, but no-one seemed to know.

It seems to be a bit on the rare side, I had rancor pick one up for me from YAJ. It still wasn't expensive though.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Considerng the pace I progress at in 1, 2 is likely to remain sealed for years to come.

Never enough arcade crap, the pink shaft & dust covers aren’t even the same color, oh well the sticks were only $13ea from focus attack sale. Trying Seimitsu snap-ins again the only flat button around.

They don’t fit all cabs, Super Neo 29 is one example.

True, but where they do fit they're the choice (of anyone that has had to deal with swapping out old snapins).

The feel of the button is completely different IMHO when comparing snaps to screw-ins. And screw-ins can be a real biatch to remove as well unless you've installed them yourself.

Annoying that I had to get this in the first place, but I'm really happy that I got something so good. I like ThinkPads.

^^Looks a lot like my Thinkpad. I had a really hard time adjusting to the placement of the mouse buttons above the pad though, and the pad being off center on mine (I have a keypad on mine).

There _are_ buttons on the bottom, but they're not that comfortable to use. I love TrackPoints though, so I doubt I'll even really be using the trackpad.

I have a W510 for work and I broke the touchpad on it (drinks accident) but it wasn't a great one. Trackpoint works well, but mouse ftw.

My X61s ONLY has a trackpoint.

Getting on a bit now but I've pretty much specced it up as far as I can - sans that delicious aftermarket 1400x1050 display.

I second that. Not sure I want to ask what's a good price on Gimmick these days.

Barneygumble's Boxed (complete?) copy of RR is also another great pickup. Good stuff, people!

I know some people in the community here have somewhat of a cardboard fetish, so I thought I'd post some gaming-related pieces of cardboard I picked up recently. The piece in the middle I picked up 3 weeks ago, completing the set.

You guys will probably recognize most of the games but I also had to get Cosmic Wars because it's such an oddball title (shmup-themed turn-based RPG by Konami wat). Also, I've never played Top Gun before and I refuse to believe that it's as bad as people make it out to be so I had to get that as well :P

Over the years I have amassed quite a few other cards that have gotten expensive. I gave 200$ cash and traded in cards at the local game shop for the rest. I could have sold stuff myself but it was too much of a hassle and I have little time. Hopefully I will pass these on to my kids, but in the meantime I get to play them every week. These were meant to be played with, after all. I pity people wanting to get into collecting/playing vintage Magic the Gathering cards now. The prices are getting pretty steep, to put it lightly.
