AFAIK, no. Just waiting for someone to say "it's OK just watch his Twitch stream! he's always on"
6 months waiting and the only real update we've gotten was via the retro rgb podcast. absolute insanity.
Wish he would have taken retrorgb's advice and at least update somewhere, like twitter, once a week or so. You could tell though, when retrorgb was trying to convince him to do it, that it wasn't going to happen. Still not sure why he thinks twitch is the best platform to communicate with the masses. Does not make sense to me. I never have, nor never will, get on twitch for anything.
Personally I think that the bare minimum should be notifying his customers by e-mail. It sounded from the podcast like he was doing that, and that he was objecting to posting things on twitter instead of directly by e-mail... But from what people have been saying here, it sounds like he didn't contact people by e-mail either.
Has anyone ordered his "installation service" for the GameCube HDMI mod?
I've never soldered anything before, so I was hoping to have Badass Condoles do it for me. He supposedly offers this service. But I sent a question to him about it, and he has not replied. I won't ship him my GameCube until I hear back, which might be never.
So I'm wondering if anyone has had any kind of experience with that service.

He can't offer install service when there still isn't anything to install.
I still wonder what the hold up is. He said that the flex cables were in. but then he had to made a testing board. Why this part wasn't addressed during the months on waiting for the flex cables, IDK.
Someone take my gc-video design and mass produce it.
Glad I am not the only one who still has not received an update. I understand he has had problems getting the project up and running, but the main thing for me is lack of communication. I sent him an e-mail last week asking for an update, if I do not hear from him by Sunday I think I am just going to submit an item not received claim with paypal. Sunday would be four days short of the six month time limit for opening an case with Paypal. Maybe I will order again when he has fixed all his problems and is activity sending out modded GameCubes.
Well, I opened my Paypal case and he refunded my order from September of last year. If he was more on the ball with communication I would have been more open about letting the dispute limit expire, but he never replied to my last few e-mails requesting updates. So that is that and now I don't have to worry about my money being in limbo. Maybe I will try again later this year and if he is actively shipping consoles or maybe another option will present itself. Good luck to those still waiting.

I am also interested.. i can see if i can get the PCB re-design a bit.. and see if we can make a few of those..
I've designed up a new GC-Video board today. This one should make installation easier than my current design. BOM is identical to the last design. I need to do some test fitment, and then I'll send off for an order.
Yes, on meneerbeer's board though not Pluto, any Pluto I've fitted was via removing digital out. And by same time I mean same TV, switching sources whilst on works without issue, not tried two displays if that's what you mean. Also isn't badassconsole selling a version that lets you drive two displays?
Edit: on my TV like bobrocks95 observed audio is much quieter via HDMI than analogue, gcvideo volume is at 255.

The main PCB is soldered directly to the QSB, So only the TMDS signals will pass through an FCC
I don't know if this is a very good idea. HDMI cables are supposed to have a certain impedance, which your FFC will not match. It probably still works.

I agree. Our designs are pretty similar. We will find out soon. I sent the board out last night to osh park.
I doubt anyone's received anything. Kinda regretting not getting a refund through Paypal while I still had the chance. Emails still go unanswered, no updates on Twitter, website, or anywhere else that I can see. Just completely MIA, and now I'm not even guaranteed a refund I'd imagine. Feels bad man.

Not regretting doing my Paypal dispute while I could in this situation and getting my refund as it seems nothing has changed.
But maybe you can dispute with your credit card company? Call paypal and ask what your options are.

Depending on the circumstances, Paypal purchase protection claims may be opened up to within 180 days.
I created my own 3d printable connector for the Game cube digital port.
And a PCB solder-able board that someone else made. shuriken video p'n'p top on Osh Park
It still in the building stage haven't tested a mod-chip with it yet. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2206834/#collections
The link to the PCB board is on the page also in the description.
Once i get a solid fit for the top half then i will test a Pluto II with it.
