Get one. it is worth it! very nice detailed. and huge!
drauch wrote:(Slightly) off-topic, but was XIII any good? Been out of the fighting game scene for a few years now, but I wouldn't mind piddling a bit and staring at dat ass while I BUSTAAAAA NUT.
It is! One of the few modern fighters I frequently play today. So easy to get into.

Egggggcellent. I shall get it sometime soon!

Man, if I had the money I'd be all over that figure! I've got an older Mai statue that has basically fallen apart. Needs replaced ASAP for aesthetic value.

bought two Nychos the Weird limited prints recently.

astrounaut is #9/150
rabbit is #22/100

both shipped with their certificates of authenticy too ;)

should go great with my two Neckface and one Broken Fingaz Crew limited/signed prints, and if they're anything like my neckface "the devil made me do it" book (bought it for $30 in 2010 and now worth around $200-300), it should triple in price pretty fast.

also bought a Phlegm pen and ink book as a new coffee table book to put in the rotation, but it hasn't arrived yet :$

Some Pick ups.

First from Club Nintendo

Image

The next pick up is sweet. So I get home from work yesterday and find two boxes at my door. Hm? what is this? AH they are from a good friend of mint in CT.
Image

So I open them up since I was not expecting anything. shiiiit look wat they are full of!

A bunch of gaming nick nacks. Some DS stylus, phone case, watch, stickers, and Stuffed animals???

Image

next? Damn sun a DS Lite and PSP all great condition and working.

Image

Some games.

Image

and them wait there is more......................... HOLY SHIT!!!!!! All complete and immaculate condition. About half the DS games are dupes as are four PSP games and 3 GBA games.

Image

So i gave him a call and asked what was up? He said he has not toughed his handhelds in about 3 to 4 years and his wife said they needed to make room. SO he thought of me and sent all of this to me for FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Picked up one of those kawaii (cute) Lego Microfighters set #75030 (which is one out of six to be released for the 2014 Lego Microfighters lineup)...a mini Millennium Falcon with room to place a Lego mini figure of Han Solo to sit in the cockpit seat with his trusty blaster in his hand. Since it's only a 94 piece set at best, I'm surprised how the microfighter MF is able to retain it's overall likeness & scale of it's larger MF Lego set counterpart that was released in 2013 in the $139.99 USD price range. In leiu of using a proper topside mounted quad-barrelled laser gun turret, a pair of red-tipped micro flick-missles do the job quite well in terms of keeping up with the microscale theme going on. As an added bonus, Lego had the MF's trademarked cockpit area painted on at the factory rather than use a simple sticker for added value/microscale appearance. How cool is that? No sticker sheet is included for further detailing/customization (but that is for a possible future rainy-day project).

Makes me wonder if a second or third series of Lego Microfighters will be released down the road.

With a bit of ingenuity, it's possible to mod the microfighter MF so that the rearside sublight engine is backlit (for a hint of extra realism/functionality) with that signature blue colored exhaust before "making the jump to lightspeed" with a proper Lego light brick and a proper power source. Hmmm.....shouldn't be that hard to pull off/implement indeed (remove the internal black colored 2x4 brick & swap in the light brick & thread the wiring through the handy hole on the bottomside, hook up the wiring to a external Lego battery box and viola, easy as pie!). Or an LED mod + on-board miniature button cell battery placed within the confines of the 2x4 brick space area & no messy external wires to mar the overall microscale appearance is another possibility.

Modified Rode K2 valve mic with a Telefunken tube. The pickup pattern is completely adjustable between omni, cardioid, and figure 8. This thing sounds sweet!

Not quite that lucky, it's used. I'd sell it in a heartbeat if it wasn't. They just wrap everything in plastic in Japan, including used stuff. But even used it usually goes for 10,000 yen here.
