Version 1.5 - PCB - Maniac - Reko
CIV - 278,023,483 - Stage 5 - Abnormal
Screen
Stage 3's awkward because the options focus more on the jewel spewing flaming rocks from those big enemies than the actual enemy during A-Shot, so I usually end up dying before they explode one shot later. But then again, I have no working plan for scoring in this mode...

Nice to see abnormal Reco getting some love around here. She's so insanely powerful when you're point-blanking enemies but I think a lot of people don't realize that because they're not playing her aggressively enough.
What you can try to do for those flaming rock enemies is to get up close and lock on to the enemy with your options before it starts shooting its rocks... there's usually maybe about a 1 second gap of time to pull this off after it shoots its initial waves of bullets at you, but abnormal Reco is fast enough to pull this off.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari
I must say I've had the secret burning rage for Abnormal Reco saved up in me. I would like to try that top of the screen tactic on those bugs. I want to 1cc 1.5 Original with her at some point. Oh, yeah, Oh, yeah. Were you referring to her use in all the standard modes? I haven't tried Maniac with that type yet. I'm not that cooky with my play routines beyond Original mode right now.Schrodinger's cat wrote:Nice to see abnormal Reco getting some love around here. Speaking of love for things in this game. Damn this game is awesome, it lived up to my hype of it being a monumentous shooting game release, coming out on the X360 and specifically REGION FREE. To me Futari is the best shooter to own on console (or PCB etc). It's just that baller. I'll be playing this game for years to come, there's so much content if it's your thing... wow! Black Label is the fancy icing on the cake, but so worth it too, I welcome it. Auaaaawwwwuuaa~
Also great scores on this thread... I hope to bring some more muahahah

Black Label Original - Palm
908,445,467 - CSF - ALL [Lx1, Bx?] (X360 mode)
After I cleared the game with Reco, I started playing with Palm again last night. My high score went 377 mil > 638 mil > 908 mil clear. This was the first time clearing Original with Palm, and my first time I breaking 100k on my counter, so I'm pretty happy with it.
Don't know if I'll go for 1 bil or not. This seems like one of those fluke runs that will be pretty tough to beat.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari
Ok, finally bought an Xbox last month and got in on the Mushi Futari fever. Today I cleared it for the first time, with three lives left. After analyzing my poor score I've been notified about the counter system. My run was a bit weird too in that I died twice stupidly on st3 and then no-missed st4 and 5. Had four bombs left on Larsa and bombed the hard parts and got a bit lucky on the last forms first part with the red and purple swirly wave shots.

V1.5 - Xbox - Original - Arcade - Abnormal Palm - All - 242 003 190 - 3 Lives left.
(Hope I didn't forget anything, this game has too many modes)

Black Label (360) - Maniac
gs68 - 306,243,657 - Stage 5 (Boss) - Reco
What started off as a "meh, this'll be a typical run, nothing past stage 4" run with excessive bombspamming turned into "wait what how am i getting this far". Got the final boss down to about 15-20% life left.
Funnily enough I STILL can't 1CC 1.5 Original.

Please take care to follow the formats in the original post if you are not already doing so. I am going to have to start ignoring scores altogether if they are not at least close to what I am expecting. If you notice that your score has not been added to the board after I confirm that there has been an update, please re-post your score and ensure that it is properly formatted.

Version 1.5 - X360 - Maniac - Reco
Schrodinger's Cat - 555,096,113 - Stage 5 (Boss) - Normal
Even though I screwed up quite a bit (fuck you stage 2 boss! I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU), I'm kind of proud of this run because I barely touched the game in 2 weeks and thought that I'd be way too rusty to beat my old score right off the bat. The game actually felt more fun than usual due to the lack of burnout I was feeling this time around.

How many of your points come from the stage 4 boss? Seems like I'm at a wall at 500,000,000 since it's just too hard to practice getting any kind of score off of that damn stage 4 boss, even though I've seen it done.

This time around my stage 4 boss blew. I don't think I died, but I got to the boss with 3000 on my counter and screwed up on cashing in on those balls at the end of the second phase of the boss. I killed the boss with about ~ 4000 counter iirc, so I'm guessing I got 10-15 million from that boss, lol.
Most of my points come from stages 1 and 2.... I got 275 million at the end of stage 2, which would have been 290-295 million (bringing me to #1) if that stupid boss hadn't killed me.

Wow. I'd love to see a video of your run. I can't seem to swing more than 230-240 million max by the end of stage 2, even when I feel like I've done pretty optimally. I wonder what I'm missing.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari
I came home after a short night's sleep, a long day's work and practiced st3, 4 and 5 which all went totally shit. So I thought I'd just do two runs tonight of which I wasn't expecting much. To my big surprise I improved my old high score by 10M on the second attempt.
Since I placed #18 for Palm/Abnormal on the leaderboard I was able to upload my pretty crappy run. It's under the name sgronblo in the unlikely event anyone wants to watch it.
Since my last score wasn't updated (didn't know the formatting was so important, though with the zillions of different modes this game has, I can understand it's a bit annoying if people don't format the submissions correctly). Let's see if I can get it right this time. Sorry about my sloppy reading of the rules last time.

My first 1cc on this mode, which somehow ended up with two spare lives (1-miss up to Larsa). I guess this is what happens when I don't completely screw up Stage 4 for once.
