Silver account on JPN Marketplace
You guys are making this far more difficult than it is (no offense).
For patches and required updates, they will happen no matter the region.
For DLC, Demos and marketplace stuff...if you care about that it is super easy to access.
Simply create a hotmail or live ID account (via internet) and set the region to Japan. Now go on your console. Create a second profile. Create a silver account (free) for that profile and use that email you set up previously. That's really it. If you need it in finer detail, I'm sure you can find it via google.
Just so you know, things you DL from either account are interchangeable on the same system.

After that rumour that Mihara posted in his blog, is this really surprising? They'll probably push it back to Spring.hirounder wrote:DDP DOJ BLeX got delayed aswell, new release date not known yet

Just you wait, this game will come out by Smarch, just like Ketsui.
Patience...

And at least the website has had more effort put into it than Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra - that page is still a teaser.

P-A has it listed as "Q1 2009," so at least it's hopefully not TOO long of a delay...and more specific than Ketsui's "tba." Hopefully the delay means that they'll tweak it a bit more, and isn't just some stupid legal technicality or something.
(EDIT - Wrong date.)

Raiden Fighters Aces should've been delayed, with all the bugs it ended up with ..E. Randy Dupre wrote:I'm getting pretty fed up with all of these delays, tbh. Raiden IV, Otomedius, Ketsui Death Label, this. Was Raiden Fighters Aces delayed, too?
Think I could well have jinxed this one for everybody - I finally put the pre-order down last night. Typical.

...given the state of Raiden Fighters 2, I surmise that it still may not have been released if they were waiting to come up with a bug-free version.
5pb should take as much time as they need! We don't need more console games to fall victim to the ship-now, fix-later policies that are becoming far too prevalent in the industry today.

Yeah, it's kinda depressing that this is weaseling it's way into the console world now as well. It was bad enough when you installed a PC game and the first thing you did was head to some random website for the latest 200 MB patch.RackGaki wrote:...given the state of Raiden Fighters 2, I surmise that it still may not have been released if they were waiting to come up with a bug-free version.

It's more about accuracy ..John845 wrote:Why does Cave love delaying these games, Jesus. It's not like they are out creating a brand new game or anything, its just a port job for a system that's powerful enough to handle multiple instances of these games running at the same time. What the fuckkkkkkk.

It has nothing to do with CAVE, as they aren't doing the port, and they aren't publishing it either. Though no matter how many times you state this fact, you'll always have some guy wander in here and blame CAVE for stuff like this.BulletMagnet wrote:It's not necessarily Cave, it could be 5PB - as for the reason...John845 wrote:Why does Cave love delaying these games, Jesus.

Agreed. Shame the game devs can't get the "Zero Fuckup" ethic from the 32-bit era back in place. All these "An update is available" messages for the games and XBL shouldn't have to happen. GET IT FUCKING RIGHT THE FIRST TIME GUYS!Udderdude wrote: Raiden Fighters Aces should've been delayed, with all the bugs it ended up with ..
If 5pb is delaying DOJ BLEX and Ketsui X for this reason, then it's all fine. Hopefully they're working on getting these ports straight to the last detail- i.e. slowdowns and other nuances.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

He hasn't got any listed at the moment but he was very helpful and very fairly priced, if you ask him nicely he might be able to get you one.

with all this talk of westerners buying japanese x360s it just keeps me thinking about the two 360s ive already had to send in for repair...
back in the day I had a US saturn and played imports really easily with a memory card, and i bought a asian DC since I couldn't wait an extra year for the US launch. My asian DC lasted longer than any of my US dc's because it had that liquid cooling system which was removed from the US versions.
i guess my point is I would plop the money down for a asian 360 and some shumps if it wasn't for the fact they die so regularly. i guess ill just have to wait a few more years before i play games that game out 5 years ago.

The latest batch of 360's coming out, with the HDMI port, have a much lower chance of RROD. I think they're in line with the other consoles now. 360's overall failure rate across it's entire lifetime will still be around 20% though.agustusx wrote:with all this talk of westerners buying japanese x360s it just keeps me thinking about the two 360s ive already had to send in for repair...

So is there any news on these guys releasing these games for something that will actually make them some money such as the Wii or the PS3?
It's so dumb that they would release these games on the most import-unfriendly console of this generation in a region that is guaranteed to get them the least amount of sales they could possibly get. Do they hate money or something? I mean the PS3 is pretty much the best current gen console for shmups and is region free with both disc-based games and PSN releases, on top of that there's the Wii with it's huge install base.
Really it seems like they have actually made a very concious and determined effort to make as little profit as possible and minimize the amount of fans that will get to play these games. I mean if they had of released these titles on XBLA i would have thought it would be cool until Microsoft started region locking marketplace content. Somebody at that company either really loves Microsoft so much it's clouded sensible business decisions or they're smoking crack.
