Yesterday, the manager of the local Dunkin' Donuts called me during school (Lunch though, so I could talk) and asked if it was me and asked if I could do an interview the next day (today) at 11:00 AM. I said yes, but then realized what was going on and tried to tell her that I wasn't an adult and had school but she already hung up. Today (she's only there in the morning), I called up again and told her I was a teenager and I had school, and she seemed fine with it and let me reschedule to Saturday, but I feel like I already fucked it up.

P.S.: The reason I'm not at school right now is because the freshmen have standardized testing today until 10:35 AM and the rest of the grades stay home until then.

Well along the lines of superheroes and little annoyances, I miss the days before skinny little Milla Jovovich, when they cast actual strong women for strong woman action roles. Lynda Carter, Sandahl Bergman, Joanna Cassidy. These were pretty (I'll grant you non-conventionally pretty) women for whom it wasn't an effort to suspend your disbelief when they were kicking the shit out of dudes with superhuman strength in their respective shows.

Gal Gadot is gorgeous but I'm sorry. Everything about her action scenes screams greenscreen in the worst "Sucker Punch" sense of the word.

Cameos by female MMA fighters don't count. I'm talking tall actresses.

Then a couple years later at age 20 I resolved to stop drinking soda for unrelated reasons. Much to my surprise, within a week or two my acne cleared up completely. To this day the only time I get zits is the day after I ingest a lot of high-fructose corn syrup.

Every so often I see a young woman sporting some awful new fashion that makes me feel like an old man because I just don't get it.

A cute girl in my building recently got one of those "shave random spots" hairdos. Specifically she shaved the sides of her head buzz-short all the way around but kept a couple inches at the crown, like an inverse balding man. When I first saw her from a distance I thought some new dude had moved in. She reminded me of Eddie Furlong circa. Terminator 2, but when I looked up pictures of him, his hair was much more feminine.

The funny thing is, when Salt 'n Peppa created the asymmetrical look, it was the accidental result of a bad perm. Now pretty girls are doing it intentionally.

She looks awful, but I feel worse because I just don't get the kids these days with their hair and their clothes and realize I'm talking like an old man.
