Oh man... and here I was looking forward to watching anything else but what is essentially a re-run this week. I'm still not grasping the reason why Muchi Muchi Pork (why are you calling it Manpuku) is happening again.

Because it's a different mode. Manpuku is essentially Harder from the other Yagawa games. Which means it ends up being way different and way harder.

One of the guys who can 2-ALL 1.01 can probably make this comparison better than I can, but Manpuku's first loop is probably not much easier than the second loop of the vanilla game. Manpuku's 2nd loop requires you to play extremely well while managing your resources almost perfectly.

Think of this as the MMP equivalent to the Futari Ultra episode except GUS isn't invited.

Anyway, thanks for clearing things up. That'll be interesting to see. I just wish I didn't have to look at those bizarre pig chicks...

The question now becomes: did you host the kreygasm specifically to post this comment, or did you just have it laying around on your server for some other reason?

Also, STG Weekly might have some cool news in the next couple days... I can't guarantee anything yet but will give information as soon as we've confirmed things. Suspense! Mystery! Excitement!

I've had it around a while, post it occasionally on this forum. But generally it's for stuff like this :D

Well, Manpuku's first loop stopped everyone else. There are no first loop Manpuku clears on the Leaderboard. (There is a PCB ver1.0 1 loop clear though - 109mil). It needs to be figured out and attacked in a different way from all the other Arcade modes. But its not too bad when you've got it figured.
The 2nd Loop though is about 5X harder. I'll explain why during the commentary. The actual 2-ALL is a stretch. Not reaching the ST2-5 last stage - that is not the problem. The issue is how to arrive at the Last Boss with enough lives to take it down.

Don't worry Lord Satori, once you see the Perfect Bullet Storm that is the Manpuku 2nd loop, you might be intrigued

Caught the very end of the run. Very impressive stuff. I'll probably watch the beginning on YT to learn about the game basics, and whatnot.

Just watched this. Fantastic episode, great commentary and insight into the level of familiarity that was necessary that take Manpuku down. Well done DEL and STG Weekly team.

In terms of simply clearing (not focusing on maximizing score, but scoring does help you survive), I would rank the modes like this (easiest to hardest):

1.01 1-ALL
Matsuri
1.00 1-ALL
Harahara 1.01
Harahara 1.00
Manpuku 1.01 1-ALL
Manpuku 1.00 1-ALL
1.01 2-ALL
Manpuku 1.01 2-ALL
1.00 2-ALL
Manpuku 1.00 2-ALL (never been done and may be impossible)

Wow, great episode, as a player that stays on the other side of disc (Pink Sweets), this has inspired me to visit the other side.

As a player who has tried your side of the disk and decided to leave that side to Plasmo, I am happy that you're gonna take a look.
