XRGB-mini Framemeister
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
I also briefly tried using SWISS to force 240p mode and it looks sharper compared to 480p mode. Will do more testing in the future.

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
Been playing around with my settings, iv started to use scanelines but appear to have issues ..
Using jaguar on game2/sharpness 1 (tempest and Rayman look so good) normal l2..720p
However because I didn't like the fact the screen wasn't full iv used the H & V height to fill the screen and loose the little boarders, this as messed up the scanelines as they now appear uneven...I have to options..
1, anyone have the default values of the H & V value settings so I can manually change them back..
2, is there a reset option ? ... If yes will this remove the latest firmware update ? Sounds daft but just checking..
Regards

Can I ask did you buy your lead or make it yourself, I'm looking for a rgb scart lead that works with the xrgb mini and doesn't look like a dogs dinner which mine does lol
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
Bought it from Raven Games years ago, no idea if they still do them.

I can't get Swiss to boot my Gameboy Player disc at allkeropi wrote:... returning to the Gameboy Player stuff![]()
since people were searching for a solution in Assembler Games Forum and in this thread in GC-Forever forum were SWISS author emu_kidid lurks , there is now a new SWISS build that enables 240p output when booting the GBP disk:

How do you run it?
You're welcome...Stephen g wrote: Thanks for that...

Try disconnecting the network cable from your BBA

@Konsolkongen
I run the ISO from the wiikey fussion modded GC I have , I don't use a real disc to boot the GBP... SWISS is used as "firmware" on the wiikey fussion and it just auto-starts each time the GC is booted with a SD card in the wkf slot

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
But I admit that booting Swiss ALONG with the GB Player from the SD card sounds intriguing. I always found it silly that the Cube wasn't able to boot the player from some kind of bios available on the GB Player itself...

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
For Dreamcast, it goes Hanzo > Extron (to merge RGBHV to RGBS) > mini
1/ Is it possible to use Kenzei instead of Extron for merging? Same quality?
For Gamecube, I read about not seeing the boot screen.
I'm very newbie in this tread sorry.
2/ I would like to confirm if this chain will work for any game resolution and with the boot screen?:
Digital out to D-terminal cable modded to output RGBHV > extron (maybe Kenzei) to merge RGBHV to RGBS > mini
3/ If not, what second chain/mod I have to make?
For PS2 15khz, it used to be this:
PS2 > RGB cable > Sync Strike > VGA cable > Extron interface (to convert RGsB to RGBS) > mini
But as BuckoA51 said:
4/ So Extron or blackbox?
5/ And what kind of/ chain for non 240p games?

boot the GameCube up holding down Y (not B) and then go to Applications->Swiss.Doesn't work. Still just says "Executing game! 100% percent complete." and then nothing...

that's an older build, now SWISS reads the game names from the ISO

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
I got it working now! Turned out I had to disable 480p in the Qoob menu for whatever reason... :/
Looks great. I took a bunch of pictures I'll upload in a little while.
Stutter is the same as always. Well actually I thought it was worse than normal, but after checking normal 480p I can see that it isn't
Thanks keropi for letting us know

Really? Can you point me in the direction of a guide? If the DVD drive still works then I'm very tempted to try thiskeropi wrote: @Konsolkongen

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
a guide... hmm no such thing, just posts in GC-forever and it's wiki
here is some info: http://www.gc-forever.com/wiki/index.ph ... a_GameCube
but that is now outdated since megalomaniac sells special adapters here: http://www.badassconsoles.com (atm only V4 offers wkf+dvd functionality it's a CD BLOCK with everything installed - remove your old one , replace with it and just mount the sd slot somewhere - a new adapter is in the works btw)
and here is my post with my GC worklog, it started as a sd-only GC with a homemade adapter, then got upgraded to megalomaniac's V1 adapter with a working DVD. It's just great.
Any info/help you need just ask here or on gc-forever, it's THE place for GC stuff

Does it have to be a Wiikey Fusion or can I use one of the clones? I'll read though the rest of your links later

Pictures here:

New phone (Sony Xperia Z2) and this one actually has options for the camera, unlike the iPhone 4S I had prior. And I know nothing about taking pictures and adjusting settings so the pictures show this, but I got a few decent ones

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
^ the WASP chip that megalomaniac is offering is actually a wkf 1:1 clone since wkf is no longer produced. So you are set on this one.
btw, what are the settings you use for the GBP?

Sharpness 0, H_scaler 5, V_scaler 6
And component from the GameCube.

And component from the GameCube.
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
really can't wait to get that SD adapter. While not perfect yet, this is easily the best GBA solution yet, isn't it ? And it's certainly a whole lot easier than going the Cube > Emotia > Framemeister route.
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
well you get to boot a GBP iso from SWISS that auto-loads with each GC statup and it forces 240p... so if this what you want to do then it's just great
keep in mind that currently SWISS does no save the video settings to wkf , it's getting fixed

Now if only there were better controllers for the Gamecube. I've got a Hori GBPlayer pad, but the dpad requires so much force to push. And the dpad on the original Gamecube controllers doesn't do the job

Sorry to bother you again with my questions Fudoh, but maybe you have clues about those except /4?
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
Yes, this is why the Kenzei was created, for the XRGB-mini.Emperor Udan wrote:For Dreamcast, it goes Hanzo > Extron (to merge RGBHV to RGBS) > mini

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
oh yeah, now GBA looks fine! I had it's setting to "full"
but when I changed it to normal and used what Konsolkongen suggested everything looks very very nice now!

btw, some time ago I made a quick vid showing how GC works with the wkf, you can check it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy7CFcgEQgA

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
Guys help.. Think I may have broke my mini
Iv remade a rgb scart cable for my jagaur.. On boot up the mini was trying hard to sync, then sound started crackling... Went off, and iv been unable to get sound back on even my good scart lead?
Iv reset the mini still no joy... Any ideas or have I just killed it

Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
@keropi: sounds exactly like I imagined it. I might get back to you in the future for specifics on the setup. Is there a tool I can put on the SD card and use on the gamecube to dump the disc right there on the Cube ?
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
I'd use a GBA with the GBA-GC link cable. Or is this not possible with this new swiss setup?blizzz wrote:Now if only there were better controllers for the Gamecube. @emperor:
Somebody else has to confirm 15khz RGBHV though. I know the RGB lines work fine in 15khz, since they're used for Component cables converted to SCART RGB cables. But here usually sync from the analogue port is used.
sure, Extron RGB interface, UMSA, Kenzei. Even a passive combiner circuit ($2 in parts) will have the same results. I'm using a passive combiner circuit. Is it possible to use Kenzei instead of Extron for merging? Same quality?
I don't see why. Both 15 and 31khz work fine in component and RGB, so why should there be a problem ?For Gamecube, I read about not seeing the boot screen.

the same as you're using for 480i.PS2: And what kind of/ chain for non 240p games?
Re: XRGB-mini Framemeister (now available !)
Ah right. I forgot that you could use them as controllers for the GBPlayer. Thanks for reminding me! The only downside is that the link cable doesn't power the GBA.Xan wrote:I'd use a GBA with the GBA-GC link cable. Or is this not possible with this new swiss setup?
