I actually got another Yashica Electro to add to the collection. This time, the GL

This one is the only one (and probably only range finder from this era) to go to ISO 1600. I think this one was like 1600 yen or something... really cheap. I've yet to open it and look though. Not the smallest in the world, but it'll do. I will get the CCN... the only one w/ a 35mm lens in the series, but will continually bunch myself in the cock over the fact that the fastest speed is 1/250. (I think all the other electros go to 1/500). In the cloudy weather it's no big deal, but in really bright light, you will basically not get to shoot with nice bokeh.

THIS.

I was wondering if the movie DVD box set is as valuable as this. :?
The only catch is the language barrier, somehow, and it's region-locked.

There was a planned remake of this next year, btw.

That's a Taiwanese Patlabor set. It's a $30 dollar set brand new. Most Tai stuff is insanely cheap with questionably awkward packaging.

I can confirm 100% that the US/Genesis version does NOT have microswitches.
It has that same rubbery and hollow switch setup that the NES Advantage joystick (and other home joysticks of the era) used.
The USA Genesis Arcade Power Stick that was distributed by SOA themselves back in 1990 came with a MSRP of $59.99 USD. It's a solid & very responsive arcade stick despite not having a microswitch setup.

Another solid console-based arcade stick that uses rubber contacts is NEC's own Turbo Stick for use with the TurboGrafx-16 console + built-in slow-mo & adjustable auto-fire functionality (a plus in my book) -- still works like a charm nevertheless. Tis a shame that NEC never released a dedicated 1st party produced Turbo Duo arcade stick though during the Turbo Duo's heyday -- that's a well known fact. The only solution was to buy an optional NEC TG-16 to Duo controller adapter cord accessory in order to use a Turbo Stick with a Turbo Duo console (due to the smaller 8-pin DIN interface used).

Nice pickup Sven, one of Stern's better machines! I picked up another pin last week, The Getaway. Don't have it in the house yet as I have to somehow create room for it, but it is only 2 houses away, so no worries. No pics just yet.

Most cabs will have a wooden board inside that you can mount PCB onto. Anyway, you screw the PCB clamp onto that board and you're ready to go.

Nice pickup. Getaway is one of my favorites. The flow makes it one of the fastest tables I've played, and the sound is great too. If I ever find myself in a position where I can buy some pins that one will be high on the list.

I just ordered me one of these with a red grip. I was going to get the fittings blued but apparently the finish wears away in time and I didn't feel like dropping the extra cash for something that was going to dissapear after an indeterminate amount of time.

http://www.albion-europe.com/swords/swo ... x?model=85

Posted a link to the site as there is a 4 month waiting time for it to be forged (hence no pics of my own). I have a modest collection of half decent swords but this is the first time i've put any money into something really nice. Next on the agenda is getting a gambeson and slowly putting together a suit of plate but I think i'll be living like a pauper for a while after this one and plate is even more expensive.

Add a booklet and a landscape book and you get a very delicious 'limited edition' flavor.

Addiction continues to grow... with photographic evidence of firearms and ammunition being stored in the same container. Don't tell my instructor I do this... I mean, they are just being posed for a photo :p

Beeman P17 and Crosman Vigilante, both purchased from Amazon for under $50 each, and both are ridiculously accurate with the stock iron sights. For the price, I am amazed at the performance and value. The P17 actually came with a red dot sight which I gave to my dad for his new Crosman 2240 because his eyesight is getting too poor for iron sights. He's still a better shot than I am, somehow, but I guess that goes back to many years of shooting experience when he still lived in the USA.

I'm so pleased. I could shoot the P17 all day long.
