Well I"ve tried them, but they make my ears feel odd. I'm not sure what it is exactly about the noise cancelling models.
The noise cancelling ones feel weird to me too, like there's pressure on my ears. However, if you're looking for something for plane trips/etc, you need to have closed or sealed in-ear, because making other people listen to your music is very bad. Bad enough that I think killing of said people should be legalised.

Sony MSX monitor, KX-14CP1. Think it has other applications too though. This particular model was made in Japan which is pretty sweet. Been trying to adjust the image as best I can, used Chocobo Racing after adjusting it for Metal Slug X which proved not to run at 240p so wasn't suitable.

The controls on the side only allow for V Size and H Cent unfortunately so I have to crack the back off for H Size and V Cent. Either way, got this as a replacement to my Commodore 1081 and cannot be happier - although the condition isn't as good as I would like.

After an astronomically shitty last two days, this is the first thing that made me feel better. After selling nearly all my figs I told myself I'd only buy shmup related ones in future. And I'm liking this kit kat trend, off to have those with my coffee. Thanks mighty Pang!

If you are using it mainly for drums you'd be better off the with the ESX so you can load your own samples.

Three more for my artbook collection. Been meaning to pick these up for a while; finally got around to it. They're all great, but Der Mond in particular is absolutely gorgeous.

I finally did it, I finally bought myself a dao. Kind of freaking out, I've been dying to get one of these since he started making them back in 2006, this is kind of entering actual dream come true territory.

Nope, it's the PEE. I guess that angle makes it look a bit smaller, it's really quite gigantic though! Turntable light is blue, keys are pink and start/select are white. Sanwa buttons with 50g Omron switches. After a nice long first session with it I am extremely pleased. My only regret is that I waited so long!

Figured I should top off my otherwise complete Swedish Ghibli collection with this baby:

So, collection in its current form complete, anything that seems missing here hasn't been released on Swedish DVD yet.

Nice get, Kennyman666. I still haven't watched my copy, as I mainly watch them with my kids, and there's no Swedish dub on it. Does the Yamada's have Swedish dubbing, perchance? I haven't seen that either.

Back of the box only lists Japanese speech, so sadly no.

Got myself another PlayStation 1001. Really dirty but I am hoping it'll clean up nice. If nothing else, it's $10 for a guide to reassembling the last one I got... It also has the first PlayStation RF adapter I've ever seen. I think I'll hook it up to the ol' tube that way just to see how bad things get.

It's been a while, but I noticed that my new Fighting Hawk PCB's paper label (Taito original) says "FAIGHTING HAWK." The soul still burns, baby.

Those 1st-gen Sony PSX RF adapter will work just fine with a Sony 8mm camcorder (from the 1996 production era and beyond) as well -- it wasn't just made exclusively for the PSX console alone (as Sony made sure it's other appropiate A/V electronic gear used it also). What's interesting is that partcular 1st-gen PSX RF adapter requires 5v from the console or camcorder just to power it up properly. The 2nd-gen revised Sony PSX 1st-party RF adapters did away with the 5v power requirement and used the dedicated PSX's A/V port to power it up instead.

Funny enough it looks like you can't change the region on Grind Stormer (and possibly Fixeight) with the jumper settings to Japan region = there goes my plan to make this a V-V PCB :?.

A Sony Trinitron KV X2131D, complete with remote and... Manual! For 20 Swiss Francs (around 22$), really a steal.

The picture on this set is just gorgeous, crystal clear and vibrant, oh, and those sweet scanlines... :D Actually, the picture is even compareable with the image quality of my now-sadly-defunct Sony PVM 2730QM, but I guess the smaller screen of the 21" KV makes the picture look sharper compared to the picture on the 27" PVM. I'm really curious how the next set, that I'm getting the next days (a KV 29X5B, a 29" monster, compared to the 21" one...) will fare.

Boy, forget those bloody B&O MX4000, the literally pale in comparison to a trinitron!

Edit: Also got a nice little Package from Rancor last week... The R-Type Delta was a freebie that he had lying around. This guy is just... Fabulous. :D

And here are some pics.

Trinitron (next to my soon to be gone B&O MX4000) (Btw, who wants a beo4 remote? 10 $ plus shipping cost... ^^)
