The body is quite cheap... the flash, a bit more. If you want a cheap but great film camera, just about everything in the Electro line can't be recommended enough.

Is the d-pad on G-Con 2 analogue like on DS2? I wonder how it fares in some random games. Already can tell double-tappig up is going to be its Achilles heel.
The lead thing is a GBA-to-GameCube/another GBA cable. Gotta wonder if it makes Wind Waker any better...

Nice Saturn bundle... Did you pick out the games yourself, or did the seller just happen to throw in the random Hentai game to accompany the first party Sega classics?

Everything was sold together. Really surprised when I received the package and took a closer look at it. Awesome!gabe wrote:Nice Saturn bundle... Did you pick out the games yourself, or did the seller just happen to throw in the random Hentai game to accompany the first party Sega classics?

Sennheiser HD 598 open around-ear headphones & HiFiMAN EF2A combination DAC and tube headphone amp. After about 70 hours of burn in, I'm very satisfied with the sound.

I'm no audiophile, but I've been testing and researching for a good set of headphones.jasoncslaughter wrote:Sennheiser HD 598 open around-ear headphones & HiFiMAN EF2A combination DAC and tube headphone amp. After about 70 hours of burn in, I'm very satisfied with the sound.
I'm torn between the Bose overear Quiet Comforts or the Sol Republic V10's.
(I'm not a fan of the cans that envelope your ears...they're not comfortable for me).
What are some good headphones that I should look into aside from the two that I mentioned?

What type of sound you are looking for? Do you like open-ear headphones (leaks sound like made but more natural sounding) or closed-ear headphones (doesn't leak sound but has limitations)? What music you listen to? What are you going to plug it into?

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Well Im more into electronic dance music (stuff like Hardwell, etc). Mainly for long plane trips, so I'd be plugging into a phone. Open ear headphones are my preferred model --- don't like earbuds or the enclosed cans as much.Domino wrote:SuperGrafx wrote:I'm no audiophile, but I've been testing and researching for a good set of headphones.

Wouldn't closed ones, or even noise-cancelling ones, be better for airplane trips?

Well I"ve tried them, but they make my ears feel odd. I'm not sure what it is exactly about the noise cancelling models.hermit crab wrote:Wouldn't closed ones, or even noise-cancelling ones, be better for airplane trips?

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
I would just go with some cheap IEMs. I think some airlines don't even allow you to use any type of phones with a headband, as if you'll strangle yourself when the plane falls. In that case I think strangulation would be the least of your worries but that is beside the point. At any rate, you really don't need anything high end. Airplanes are hardly an ideal environment for quality listening. Your top priority should be comfort, and unfortunately this is a hard thing to test in stores since discomfort might not be noticeable until 30 minutes to 2 hours of continuous wear.Bar81 wrote:Absolutely. Here are some utterly tasteless and inappropriate acquisitions following closely after the recent US shootings:

Crosman 1377C pellet gun, nerfed Canadian version. It's still pretty decent, but my pumping hand hurts after firing around 70 rounds last night. I'm starting to think a CO2 semi-automatic might be worth the price of convenience after all.
CYMA CM122 Airsoft gun. I'm not having as much fun with it as I wish I could though. Regular BBs indoors make a great big mess rebounding everywhere, and the crappy biodegradable BBs I got for shooting outdoors jam like crazy in the magazine.

Heh I have a cheap springloaded airsoft AK47 and I shoot at this gel dartboard with a bb tray. Works well, no rebounds. Except when you miss, which is why a dartboard sized one is good instead of the smaller ones. Costs next to nothing.gct wrote: CYMA CM122 Airsoft gun. Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Part of the problem is that I like shooting at smaller knockdown targets rather than dartboard styles. I draped a heavy towel over a chair and that did well to stop BBs when I missed the targets, but it's just when I hit the targets that the BBs rebound. I will probably be mostly using the pellet gun from now on, and the airsoft for messing around outside.hermit crab wrote:Heh I have a cheap springloaded airsoft AK47 and I shoot at this gel dartboard with a bb tray. Not only this, but you don't want to be the jerk on the plane making everyone listen to your music. Also, any source you could take on a plane isn't going to give you a good or strong enough signal to merit high-end headphones.Bar81 wrote:Absolutely. Open air are horrible with all the background noise.hermit crab wrote:Wouldn't closed ones, or even noise-cancelling ones, be better for airplane trips?
I admit the Grados sound great, but the treble spike increases fatigue significantly, and I'll be wearing these for long periods. Also, the headband design on the Grados gives me a headache after a few minutes.Domino wrote:You live in NYC and you didn't purchase a Grado. Shame.....
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
After nearly a decade of faithful service, the battery in my GBA SP finally gave up the ghost. Fortunately you can still order replacements direct from NOA. Posting here because non-retail packaging is cool.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Nintendo does a pretty good job of supporting their products. They actually used to have a drop-off customer service location near their headquarters (it used to be in their headquarters, but they moved it over to a nondescript warehouse in Kirkland) where I was able to get my failed Wii system quickly replaced. You can also buy various accessories and merchandise as well. I'm not sure if they still do that though.
