Just started Under Defeat. Again.

Didn't really have the motivation to try for the 2 ALL just yet, but jacking the difficulty up to hard feels just new enough.

I don't think a clear will take too long, but I have already noticed parts of stages 4 and 5 where I will have to refine my path.

The only 2 loop stuff I've seen has been 1.01. I obviously don't think I can clear loop 2, but I do want to enter it at least then maybe try to get better at it later. The stage 3, 4, and 5 bosses are pretty mean though, and me derping into stuff doesn't help either.

I was playing Samidare yesterday, and it was pretty awesome. I definitely think I'm getting better, but naturally not very quickly since I'm not playing every day or anything. Still having lots of problems with the second to last pattern of the stage 2 boss, and several of the patterns of the final boss. Eventually I'll get it, I'm sure.

Found a genesis six button arcade sick and am trying out my shmups on it. Grind Stormer is awesome.

Also been playing the 3DS Steel Empire and recently had a buddy make me cart for Titan Warriors on my nes. That game is great as well.

Been having trouble sticking with anything lately, but for the moment I'm back into Ikaruga Dot Eater. Currently having a lot of trouble in the stage 3 "blast wall" section where the midboss is chasing you. Also kind of wondering if I might be biting off more than I can chew with this. It is possible to completely clear the game via Dot Eater right?

It's definitely possible to legitimately do it. Maybe try it on Easy first. It wouldn't be much be easier, but it would make a huge difference on Stage 4.

Which reminds me, there's a replay I saw on the 360 leaderboards once for it where the guy does the first 4 stages then glitches out of the stage for stage 5 to make it so he had to do nothing during it. It's definitely possible even without that.

Still Samidare. I'm gonna go for the 1LC so that I can unlock extra. Gonna take a lot longer though. Also am seriously failing tonight, I can barely even make it to the part that I'm trying to practice much less past it >_<

If anyone happens to have some sort of hack that allows you to practice bosses, or especially particular sections of bosses, please share it with me. Getting sick of wading through all of stage 2 just to practice the second to last pattern.

My concentration continues to fail me as I move away from Ikaruga and into Pink Sweets Arrange. I think this time I will see it to the end and get the 1cc. Can make it to stage 6 pretty consistently, but the stage 5 boss is a bitch and I'm not sure how to deal with the zako swarm at the end of stage 6. Use the hadou-rose-whatever maybe?

Muchi muchi pork 1.01. I've been having loads of fun with this recently, I've been hitting past the second stage 5 mid bosses regularly, even made the final boss a couple of times... I'll stick with it until I get the clear...

Edit: @ ACSeraph, good luck with that ps arrange clear. I hope you do it! I love that game, I keep going back to it but never make it off stage 5. Great game though, It's really fun, maybe I'll go back to it after I'm finished with pork... Anything to put off going for a doj clear!

Thanks, just got the clear using stage restarts (mostly stage 6) and cleared the final stage on the first try going in with two lives. So it's just a matter of consistency now, but I'll be traveling through the holidays, so if I don't clear it before leaving I'll have to relearn things a bit I think.

Guess maybe after that I should go to the left side of the disc and try to put a bit more effort into Pork. Gotta get around to that AK thing at some point too though...

Procrastinating with some Raiden DX. This game would be so much fucking better without the goddamn horizontal scrolling. Getting instantaneous sniped by some piece of shit tank I couldn't even see on the screen is infuriating. I love everything else about the game (except maybe the troll-tastic powerups, but I can live with that). But those cheap deaths fill me with so much rage, it's bad for my blood pressure

Crimzon Clover on Steam. I have managed to get a 1CC in Novice mode, but I´m very far from doing the same in Arcade mode. During the last week I have also been playing some Ketsui DS (quite fun) and Layer Section on the Saturn (not very fun).

Got some no misses up to stage 4 on MMP, none up to stage 5 yet. Decided to switch to the other side of the disc for a bit, 6 starting lives, extend every 1 million, Version 1.01 Harder to try for the 1cc achievement for Harder/Extended. Barely make it through stage 4, barely make it to stage 5 boss. Why is Pink Sweets so impossible?

Sat down with IllVelo last night for several credits. Managed to go from a high score of about 40 million to just over 800 million in about an hour (with just over 20 keys collected) and got up to the second form of the stage 5 boss (the little guy who zips all over the screen). Granted, I still have no idea what I'm doing in this game... that and the doll control system seems really finicky.

Back to an old favorite with the Genesis port of Zero Wing.

I hate the bullet wobble, though. It's too bad that some resolution workaround like a transparent status bar wasn't used so the screen doesn't have to scroll vertically.

Been playing Gunhed and Magical Chase on PC Engine. Especially loving Gunhed. Shouldn't be too hard to 1CC, I've got up to stage 5, but you really get punished when you die on later stages and lose all powerups.
