How does taking the subway prevent you from bringing an XBox? Or are you worried you'll be mugged (actually, that's completely understandable)? I lug heavy things through the ttc all the time, so I'm just curious. It's not like there won't be plenty of games to keep my attention.

Anyhow I can definitely make it next Saturday (heading north on the 11th after all). Sounds like you're even closer to me than before, so that's convenient. It's been a while so I'm looking forward to this!

Not to put a damper on this, but Anime North is this weekend and they have i think three hours blocked off for shmup free play (9pm to midnight).

and i do this every 2 weeks....regardless of whether people can attend or not...theres always at least a few people, and often 6 or 7 people

dont get me wrong.....i love anime....but i dont like most anime fans if that makes any sense

nor big on crowds either

Ah well, no Ketsui is fine. Least we got Deathsmiles w/ MBL and Galuda 2.

Well, lessee...

My lil' sis' and her biff are likely down this Saturday and I don't know what's their idea of a good time. They're coming for Anime North, as a matter of fact, but only attending the Sunday. Don't think I'll go with... would rather spend the money on things like... books... and... beers. So if I can let them loose for part of the day Saturday maybe I'll swing by; if they get a better idea maybe not. I would definitely like to play Ketsui again, that's for damn sure. It'll happen.

i gave some thought to attending when you told me about it but im so broke right now....paying bills at 2 places for next month, just bought a $1000 couch and activation fees for rogers and hydro....

so ya....if you can get me in for free i might come out and i can bring mushi and ketsui....but i dont have $50 to spend right now.....

The gaming section of the convention is based on the honor system: no one checks whether you have a membership badge on or anything.

Actually, you're thinking of FanExpo (that's located at the convention centre), this one is actually near the airport and you gotta get there via Lawrence West station.

yeah most anime fans are retarded. I went to anime north for a couple years and then once the excitement of the cool stuff wore off I couldn't stand going anymore. Too many retards show up and it's the same crap every year. Also codys place is 100x better than ANY setup I've ever seen at anime north.

reasons to go to codys instead of anime north:

1: it's not full of retards
2: He has a vs cab that's in beautiful condition
3: he has a PROPER mame setup running on a vs cab
4: his astros and vs cabs are in amazing condition and have ALL the best parts
5: at his meets we have ketsui, mushihimesama, mushi futari
6: his new place is amazing
7: Cody actually KNOWS HIS SH#T unlike the people you find at anime north
8: it's free

but honestly....i probably would go to the anime thing if i wasnt broke....hell i could have gotten an astro there fairly easily with my buddies mini van
