And Cave hits a new low.
WHAT THE FUCK YOU DOIN CAVE?! THIS SHIT IS NOT MANLY

Pfft, ZUN's got nothin' on this.howmuchkeefe wrote:This is closely related to the reason why I haven't shown any of my friends ZUN's stuff.
Fanservice! (Just look at all the semi-naked ladies!)BulletMagnet wrote:Heck, if this gets ported, it might just have what it takes to be the first Cave game to make it to the West.

Somehow I don't think that one would be much of a factor for a Western release...'course, that also doesn't affect the "visible bullets = wimpy" opinion among some around here...or their inability to resist a Cave-related zinger of any sort.Icarus wrote:Cave logo!
SHHHH! Stop! Cease! Desist! Don't give them any more to work with, they'll hear you!I just had this really weird vision of a Pink Sweets anime
Dunno. Given the amount of Cave love going around, the chance for a localised port (if it ever happens) would get a lot of people touching themselves - to use GaijinPunch's words in this case. ^_-BulletMagnet wrote:Somehow I don't think that one would be much of a factor for a Western release...'course, that also doesn't affect the "visible bullets = wimpy" opinion among some around here...or their inability to resist a Cave-related zinger of any sort.Icarus wrote:Cave logo!![]()
I haven't seen the credits list yet. Has it been confirmed that Yagawa is directing this game? I was under the impression that they are just recycling the graphics and dropping in a new system, therefore they probably wouldn't need Yagawa's Raizing style for Pink Sweets.BulletMagnet wrote:...isn't the same guy who did Ibara (and Garegga) directing this one too? I find it interesting (though also rather predictable) that few are wondering (out loud, at least) where his head's gone to...
You know you'd buy it! Admit it! ^_-BulletMagnet wrote:SHHHH! Stop! Cease! Desist! Don't give them any more to work with, they'll hear you!Icarus wrote:I just had this really weird vision of a Pink Sweets anime

Well, that's the thing, the "Cave love" you speak of exists only in communities like this one which are geeky enough to have heard of them in the first place, so in terms of releasing any of their stuff to a wider Western market, name recognition would pretty much be a nonfactor, methinks. In any case, it's still not actually gonna happen anyways, heh heh.Icarus wrote:Dunno. For some reason I'm thinking that someone mentioned that he is...I might be wrong though. I DO, however, very clearly remember it being said on this thread someplace that the game does have a Raizing-esque rank system that will hurt you really bad if you don't handle it right...however, apparently it's more "Bakraid style" than "Garegga style," since it doesn't seem to take much effect unless you're playing for score.Has it been confirmed that Yagawa is directing this game?
I can barely afford the games themselves, extra frou-frou is pretty much out of the question for me, even in cases where I do want it, heh heh.You know you'd buy it! Admit it! ^_-
Yeah, the Ibara girls just can't seem to get a break when it comes to the wardrobe...I nearly said "you gotta be kidding" out loud when I read the "Pink Sweets" webcomic where Teresa gets married, or some such thing...her "wedding dress" is just a white version of the pseudo-lingerie she usually wears, thong and all. -_- They really ought to unionize or something, for better working conditions.cigsthecat wrote:Hot chicks lol
I don't see anything about it in the past couple issues of Arcadia. Just guessing the same as you; S.Yagawa on programming and Wakabayashi on design, with input and direction from other Cave staff (IKD, etc). As opposed to Ibara, where Yagawa was directing almost everything.Rastan78 wrote:Edit - oxtsu, was there any info about the other staff. I'm assuming they've still got Yagawa programming and Wakabayashi as the designer?
It's more a case of Cave's vig on any western release being too high to allow for a budget price. I'd guess if a Cave game were released here it'd probably be no less than $40- and apparently the wankers at SCEA don't want a Cave game selling for that price. SCEA are really the ones to blame, it seems.Macaw wrote:Isnt the reason there have been no western Cave game releases because Cave refuses the games to be budget priced or somthing like that?BulletMagnet wrote:Heck, if this gets ported, it might just have what it takes to be the first Cave game to make it to the West.
What do you know that the rest of us don't.Never_Scurred wrote:If it was up to me i'd get the president of SCEA and a few execs from Cave and lock 'em up in a room and hold them at gunpoint and make them release this game(and Ketsui and Guwange 1 and 2) in the US-fuck a loss. And then i'd pistol whip all of 'em for being such stubborn bastards.
Good thing its not up to me.....
I swear to god i remember seeing something about a guwange 2, i may be getting it confused with gunbird 2, oh well...Speaking of Guwange, I thought that was a Cave game, thats the impression I got from the Xenocide files....Limbrooke wrote:What do you know that the rest of us don't.Never_Scurred wrote:If it was up to me i'd get the president of SCEA and a few execs from Cave and lock 'em up in a room and hold them at gunpoint and make them release this game(and Ketsui and Guwange 1 and 2) in the US-fuck a loss. It's no sweat, as both Gunbird 2 and Guwange are vertically scrolling, it's easy to confuse the two..Never_Scurred wrote: I swear to god i remember seeing something about a guwange 2, i may be getting it confused with gunbird 2, oh well...Speaking of Guwange, I thought that was a Cave game, thats the impression I got from the Xenocide files....
