Are you saying it's not?!
I was totally onboard with reducing the volume of Ketsui's beeping though. It's quite loud, gets in the way of the music and apparently it was quieter in an early version of Ketsui before they decided the beeping needed to be louder.
BUT REMOVING THE VOICES FROM BLAZING STAR OR TD2 IS AN UNFORGIVABLE SIN. (ง •̀ w •́)ง

Pulstar carries a sort of "we have R-Type at home" Temu-like energy. It's certainly not a bad game, but at no point while playing Pulstar am I not thinking of a superior and earlier game from 10 years ago with better level design and more advanced mechanics.
Blazing Star actually feels like a product with an original vision. The high energy cheesy voice work is a part of the appeal for me. It sounds like an arcade game. And you also have the option to use the R-Type ship in a decidedly not R-Type like game... and it actually works and is fun like that. It's quite cool.
