Well I'm now disappointed that the combination games are just two NES titles when they could've gone with more of the excellent MD ports instead. At least the best ones are already on M2's packages, I guess.
The reason is probably just that: not to step over someone else's foot. Also asking for those conversions as freebies would have been probably too much.
These games are being simultaneously offered on Gog and in Retrobit repros. It's probably the last physical hurrah for this kind of software. For some reason I don't see myself buying PS5 collections like in the PS4 era...
I swear the localised version of Batsugun on Evercade is much harder than the JP one - based on my Batsugun experience being exclusively with Saturn and S-Tribute. I'm sure Saturn is the same as the JP arcade, except for missing slowdown in Special's loops. Stuff fires much quicker, so the screen rapidly fills with bullets, and there's more bullets in some spreads.
Is it just DIP switches bumping up the difficulty or is the localised revision harder? Tapping fire gives a faster rate than Evercade's autofire, but I'm pretty sure Batsugun doesn't have rank on firing rate.

Nevermind. Found the box with my S-Tribute version in and it's exactly the same. Turns out I just suck having not played it for a year!
