I hope that's ok.

Kagari is going to commit seppuku to regain lost honour for failing to assassinate Shinra, but he stops her. Not exactly suicidal in the usual connotationST Dragon wrote:Those are some fine Ikaruga Wallpapers!
By the way, isn’t that girl standing at the edge of the ship, suicidal in the actual game story?
Go get one that can, thenMinzoku wrote:All nice pics, yesMakes me wish my monitor would tate! Grr!
The Dell 2005FPW has a native resolution of 1680 by 1050 that gives it a slightly unusual 16:10 aspect ratio rather than the more typical 16:9 used for high definition TV. This isn't really a problem at all with the panel but the odd resolution can make support for some things like PC games somewhat difficult. Most PC games do not have support written into them for widescreen displays so it is necessary to use work arounds to make them use the full resolution.
Also, that review does not mention its response time?Gaming can be problematic with the 2005FPW. While the screen works exceptionally well with motion, a number of games did not like the resolution and would refuse to run in any mode higher than 1152x864 even though the monitor could handle the 1280x960 or 1280x1024 resolutions just fine. This is something game developers should take note of.
Response time is pretty low, though not as low as the non-widescreen version.ST Dragon wrote:That looks like a fine monitor indeed!

Any chance it’s less than 4msecs?
I wonder how well it will perform if you connect a console like a PS-1/2, Saturn, or Dreamcast and play all those nice 2D Tate shooters on it.
It does have Composite Video – Connector standard to all VCR, DVD and game systems to video, after all.
Hmm… very interesting.
What other LCD monitors can rotate like that?
If EIZO had made a similar LCD monitor that could rotate like that and feature an acceptable response time for 2D games & shooters, I would definitely get it!
In other words, a vertical shooter would actually scroll downwards on this LCD?And finally, the thing tates alright, but it tates in the wrong direction for console shmups
Exactly. But I also mentioned hooking up a console to it means it looks like complete garbage.ST Dragon wrote:In other words, a vertical shooter would actually scroll downwards on this LCD?And finally, the thing tates alright, but it tates in the wrong direction for console shmups![]()
That would basically kill any chance of obtaining this monitor for home TATE shooter use.
