It wasn't actually on Christmas day, thankfully. I'm not really all that sad about it, but I did feel a little bad having to tell the family on Christmas.

Regardless, every day is a gift, and now I have the chance to get back on my game as a musician and make 2014 the most productive year yet!

That's positive stuff, I applaud you. You guys did look happy in the picture thread though. Sorry to hear it didn't work out.

I split the cost of a 360 with my old lady, so I got that and...

Black Wings Has My Angel by Elliot Chaze
Nadja by Andre Breton
Gun, With Occasional Music by Jonathan Lethem
Dark Souls
Gears of War 3
Kiss of Death (1947)
Superjail! Season 3
Ducktales Vol 1
Talespin Vol 2
A plain black fitted baseball cap to be used for some of my many homeless patches
Some money and a Barnes and Noble gift card

I also bought myself Akai Katana, a Buzzov*en back patch, and a Sons of Tonatiuh hoodie. The one bummer so far has been discovering that they removed the memory card slots from the new model 360s. Luckily many of my saves were on the USB drive i used for extra space with my Arcade unit, including ~100 hours of Dark Souls, but a number of save files are trapped in my memory cards until I can find someone with a old 360 to transfer them for me.
Feedback will set you free.

I could have had one last night , hate this time of year when everybody has to "be happy" Im always the "negative" one.

I've found everything EXTRA false this year, specially with this renewed interest in religion, on account of the total invasion of other systems of belief.

A mini keg of Warsteiner
A couple long sleeve shirts
A chocolate cake, it was okay
$25 - I'll probably spend it on comic book trades
A new bowl, kind of crappy actually, but it's a nice gift anyway. The cloth bag it came in is pretty nice, and will be used to make the cover for a miniature book.

And, the copy of Codex Seraphinianus that I ordered months ago finally came in the mail! It is absolutely beautiful!
Still need to do the secret Santa stuff for work in a couple weeks. It's a bar, so we do it when we can shut the place down for a day and get stoopid. I've been working on a leather bound miniature book of alchemy for my pick. He's a good friend out side of work, and loves that kind of stuff anyway. Been a bit of work, 32 hand illustrated pages, and I had to learn how to skive leather as well. Totally want to keep it.

Oh, I also ate ham until I felt bloated. It was awesome.

More from yesterday's year-end anime event in the Philippines, Anime Figure Special.

So lucky I managed to get Mami clear folder before someone goes for it. Also, the Nanoha poster came in stock and I managed to buy it. What a way to go since there are people everywhere during the holidays, and many events push it to the limits!

Well here’s what I got for Christmas

250gb ps3 bundled with TLoU and Arkham Origins (Haven't played either of these yet. I tend not to play most M rated games because of my morals, so I dunno if I'll play TLoU)

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F (It’s vocaloid, no further explanation needed)
Aquapazza (Haven't played it yet, but I kinda like the Arcana Heart series so I picked this up because of the same developer)
Persona 4 Arena (Yes it’s kinda dead online, but I wanted a hold-over for the sequel)
BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend (Same as above)
Soul Calibur 4 (I prefer this one’s roster compared to SC5’s, plus the character creation is fun)
Scribblenauts Unlimited (WiiU, because I need more games for it)

Ouch, sucks to hear. Good attitude though, good on ya. Most people would be drinking their face off and sitting in a puddle of their own self-hate. (I would)

I know there are a bunch of wristwatch-maniacs here, but are there any lamp-otakus? I got an original Wilhelm Wagenfeld Bauhaus lamp. :)

-toothbrush and food from my Ma.
-8 bags of insanely spicy but awesome beef jerky and money from my dad
-whiskey stones from one of the roommates
-butterfly knife from one of my childhood friends

I bought one of the best gifts for my Ma (field museum tickets for the Chicago Worlds Fair exhibit), but it would be a paragraph or two explanation on why it was so awesome.

me.

it's amazing how many fantastic designs came out of the Bauhaus and are still produced and marketed as "modern / contemporary"
when many are pushing 100 years old. The greatest design school(s) to have existed. congrats on an amazing Christmas gift.

I don't know what Peach John is, but I'd sure like a BJ... although I've got this dry patch on my John Thomas that would prolly deter any comers. Fuck you, I have sensitive skin.

I won 320 bucks in one of my fantasy football leagues so I bought myself Einhander and Mars Matrix...and gave the rest of the money to my wife and two young boys. Thank you Jamaal Charles, Dez Bryant,A.J. Green, Knowshon Moreno, and Tony Gonzalez! 3rd championship in 4 years!

It's likely only people in the United States will get this.

Good read. One of the few books I've read in French. It's also helpful to be familiar with his manifestos of surrealism when reading.
