Which Darius games do you like in the series?

Am I the only one who prefers the Coronatus line to Great Thing? I've always found it's fights to be rather inconsistent in quality whereas Coronatus always manages to be a fast paced and fun thrill ride.

Vermilion Coronatus is kind of cheap in Gaiden. It's got this attack where it swirls its tail pieces at you which is very difficult to avoid because there's tons of them and they're a deep purple color which is mesmerizing against its background pattern. Then it ends with a bullet spam attack that relies entirely on you finding a few-pixels-wide safe spot to avoid (which is incredibly difficult when the rank is high). In fact, I'd say it's my least favorite final boss in Darius Gaiden. Now Odious Trident, there's a kick-ass thrill ride.
