Yeah, a grown man who's really into Sailor Moon is kinda weird, I admit. But I'm sure I have some figures you'd be jealous of.
Oy, double standards mate. This coming from the guy who's advocating My Little Pony watching as a normal activity for grown men? Which side of the fence are you on eh? :)

LOL! I'm the kinda guy that would watch anything, manly or not. But yeah, you can't knock Sailor Moon and hop on the Pony.

Well... you can, but you won't be taken seriously. :P

My girl loves Sailor Moon. And she watches DBZ with me when I want to, so I'd watch Sailor Moon with her any day. Its not like DBZ is the most watchable show to a lady

I hope by now everyone understands that this thread is about arguing over connotations for the effect of making one side either secure or insecure about their maturity, and not about definitions. If it were about definitions it'd be over since dolls are figures and figures are dolls and both are toys, kinda like how I'm a human and humans are primates, mammals, and animals. It's the least important propaganda battle of all time.

Both you and Skykid are right. I guess I didn't really type out exactly what I meant properly. You'll notice I didn't agree on the "creepy" part, however. I meant to say that I admit that a grown guy who is into Sailor Moon may seem weird, just a grown guy who's into MLP may seem weird. That's not going to stop me from enjoying either show, though. Heck, I'm a guy who wears Hello Kitty and Snoopy boxer shorts. Just ask Undamned, Specineff, and Jon. I'm pretty sure they've all seen me running around in my undies at some point. Once when they were over at my place, I came out to the living room wearing a gas mask and farted. Now tell me: does that strike you as the behavior of a guy who gives a crap what others think of him? If somebody likes watching Sailor Moon, then whatever. It was a guilty pleasure of mine in college as I was one of the many college-age guys who watched Sailor Moon when it was on TV. "Oooh look! Anime on TV!" That was pretty much the extent of it. I even made the first Sailor Mercury shrine on the Web. I just like girls with short hair and glasses. Now, I can care less to watch the show. I think it's boring. If my daughter discovers the show, that's fine by me. Although I'm not so comfortable with the premise of the show being about teenage girls beating the shit out of older lesbians, though.

Now Cardcaptor Sakura... that's a cool show.

Wow. That's fucked up. Panda Express? A beautiful lady deserves a whole hell of a lot more than that pseudo-Chinese food pap.

On another note, I wonder what his reaction would be if a forum member snuck into his apartment/house and stole his dolly GF from him. Probably something hilarious. :D

Indeed. I think that Clamp are really masters at presenting human relations in such a way that the story's premise becomes irrelevant. I can't even remember the premise behind XXXHolic or Kobato, I just remember that I really liked the main characters and the way characters interact.

I had a similar feeling with Planetes: at some point I asked my partner why the main character was fighting to go to Jupiter, and she commented "well, it's a sci-fi series...". In general, I am oblivious to details as long as the plot and narrative work smoothly (a good-looking show is a plus).

Ha ha, hell yes it is.

I understand what you were saying now. I'm ok with pretty much anything I do seeming "weird" to others. Hell, in my eyes, you are either weird, or boring.

Off-Topic: Me and the lady watched Akira last night. Fucking awesome, as always

Holy crap, that is beautiful. That has been my personal motto ever since high school, but I never actually put it so simply into those words. Thank you!

I just took some pictures of my hobby room. Here are many of the FIGURES I own. I'm posting this not to have people tell me how cool they are, but I just want to invite the ridicule from self-conscious guys like Maxlords and Vyxx and have them make fun of me. It makes me feel like I'm in high school again. Boy, I just love my high school days and the mature mentalities I used to confront constantly.

You can click each image for a larger version.

Star Wars, Transformers, Mushihime-sama, Evangelion, Gundam, Keroro Gunsou, the carrot chick from Densha Otoko, and Urusei Yatsura.

Here's my computer desk hutch:

Go ahead and laugh. Then feel free to lick me and ask me if I care if you think I "play with dolls."

I think that's already been established. Actually, when I got my first anime figure, which was Sakura from Sakura Taisen, when my cousin saw it, the first thing she did was turn it upside down and say, "You can see her panties! That's so cool!" So it's not just us guys who do stuff like that.

Actually, I do own two Dirty Pair vinyl dolls. You can see the Kei one in the 6th pic. As for Charlie Brown, my friends and I are always posing my figures doing weird things, like UD did with Gambit and Win-chan. Check out the Cowboy Bebop figures and you'll see Spike pointing a gun to the back of Jet's head.

Nice collection, Greg!

Being the poor person I am, I only have 7 figs at this stage. I've had to cancel 7 pre-orders in the last few months too. I could never afford to even start collecting before this year, then I got a job and had money, then work dried up. Uhhhg.

Lucky I don't have a lot of money, I could see myself purchasing a dollfie. Lily Saber is nice but $2000+?! Damn.
