I don't think comparison is fair between the Genesis and GBA games as they play much differently from each other despite Super being designed as a blatant derivative. I still enjoy Super for what it does and how it manages to stand on it's own; it's a good and fun pick up and play game. I should give Omega Factor some more time one day, same for Advance Guardian Heroes.
but I did say "their" sequels.
No, no you didn't. I'll quote you a second time.

I never thought of it like that - taking your insane, unprovoked abuse to pm when you could have posted them publicly was actually thoughtful and courageous. You are a true internet hero and I award you the 'Secret Hero' medal, which is the highest honour ashmups.system11.org poster can bestow. I apologise for airing your private abuse - I have broken a sacred trust between all bile-spewing e-champions and their bewildered targets.

But now I'm curious, where the hell does this 'weeaboo' stuff come from? I have a hypothesis: Did you seriously just glance at my post history in a rage looking for e-battle ammo and see the posts in the 'Japanese Gaming in Dead' thread? You realise that the board quote function is a bit funky and you actually have to click on the posts in post history to reliably see which text is being quoted and which is the actual reply?

I'll be getting this predominantly because I can't play my DC version anymore since I hooked it up through the PC in VGA. I bought the DS version but that was seriously pants.

No purchase from me if it's like the shitty DS version.

It doesn't sound anything like the DS version so why are you guys saying this?
It doesn't have broken and useless weapon selection.
It has a story mode. Basically a structured game, unlike the DS one.

That was the most common complaints about the DS ver.
We can't say anything about the level design yet though. It might as well be horrible and have many flaws, but it won't be the same as the DS version. We get it, you don't like it.

Zub, did you watch the new video?
Limbrooke wrote:Oh well, I have no 360 so this DLC Bangai-O has no interest for me either at present.
I take that back, after seeing the video it definitely has looks to have a vibe more akin to the original than DS version. Still no 360 but my interest level is high - looks real good (strange too, fruit vacuum?).

Yep, I saw the new video. Looks OK so far. Doesn't reveal too much yet though.

Cannot possibly be right, surely. Maybe it's just D3 doing the US release and other folks doing the rest? Trying to make sense of this.

That site doesn't look credible. And it's definitely getting a Japanese distribution, so why wouldn't it receive a European one?

Fuckin' A. I've got big plans for this editor, mainly involving taking a load of half-finished bollocks I did for Spirits and improving the fuck out of it. Hoping it's as easy to use.

Wow. Quite possibly the worst, most unfriendly demo of all time. From the first 3 stages in the demo, this looks like it has far more in common with the catastrophically shit DS version than it does the original games. Not enjoying it at all so far.

I liked the ds version, though I also prefer the original games, but this demonstrates that Treasure might not really understand the purpose of a demo...kinda strange...and sad. Majority of newcomers will probably never make it through the third stage and therefore not buy it.

I didn't mind the demo, but it was pretty short. It gives you 3 stages and then tells you there's 100+ for the full game.

...is that Oneechanbara's combo counter?

I've only played a handful of stages so far, but it seems very good - I love the new 'freeze' move and the 'Counterattack Multiplier'. It just makes me wish my LCD monitor was about ten times bigger; if you thought everything in the original game looked tiny, you're going to be squinting here, heh. Soundtrack seems to be a nice mixture of new stuff and tunes from the Dreamcast version.

The demo really isn't going to sell the game to anybody, though, is it? :(

Could you do a video review of the game? Or are the expectations and annoyance of the requests for a new video you get too high? It's only because we love you, all comes with the price of fame.

I'm buying this tonight, might have to celebrate its release by creating a 16width x 1height screen level filled with burly blue bigbots, soccerballs and and a box to push from one end to the other. I'll make room for the inevitable 2 hours it'll take to finish it :)

Demo sounds weak.
I'm going to wait to see what the overall consensus is before purchasing. (thinking!?)

One of the achievements is "Completed all stages included in the original game". Does some option appear when you buy the game that lets you play the original game(s)? Or is it just some bad wording on the translators part?
