Gameplay looks very, very smooth with a nice bullet speed. I'm intrigued.

I'm surprised it doesn't look like complete shit - now I'm actually curious to see how the gameplay mechanics work. I just wish it didn't have these cheap 3D backgrounds....

Hopefully it has a proper TATE mode. Having all those score counters and such off-screen worries me, though.

It's hard not to be at least a little bit excited for the game after listening to that dude. I hope he voices the menus or has some in-game lines (maybe the VA for the crazy old viking-looking dude?). It looks that it can be played at the TGS. Now we need someone from this board that has tried it to tell us how is the real thing and tell us about the gameplay and game mechanics.

If that is the cover art, its fine. What are you looking for in a cover, perhaps some flowery art style like the Senko no Ronde DUO LE? Liking the speed, perhaps 5pb is trying to clean up their act? The trailer makes me want to get some more solid details on this game. Might end up getting this one if the scoring mechanics are nice.

Those are slower bullets than I had originally thought, though those are also some heftier patterns as well. White dots appear to be something collectible so it looks like there may be some sort of power-up system maybe? Still kind of hard to tell what's going on in that video, but I'm getting an even better vibe. 5pb has learned a lot.

They'd better learned since theirs copied & pasted DOJ and delayed Ketsui, wich by no means are a bad ports but I think that their experience in the genre and their work with Arika must have helped them a lot.
I am eagerly awaiting for their first original game. Who knows, maybe in they future if it turns out very popular an arcade version could be made.

The more I watch this video the more I'm growing concerned about the pop-up bonus messages. They seem very distracting and from the looks of it cover a big section of the play area including bullets.

Anyway, looks good, I see that RESONATOR (Kenji Itou/Kouta Takahashi) will be doing the OST. I have high hopes for their DFK arrange, so hopefully if they make an LE, it'll include the soundtrack.

I played this at TGS.
Way it works, you kill enemies to make their bullets turn white, and then you run around and collect the "bullet souls" for what I assume are points. Game itself seemed pretty good and fast-paced, although I couldn't figure out the hitbox right away.

Sounds sort of like ESPGaluda in that sense. Beats me, didn't get enough time to really disect the system. It seems like you would want to collect the souls though...I've noticed that a lot of people at TGS aren't very good at games so I doubt a random player knew anything about the game. I saw a few just credit-feeding through the demo.
From what I remember the chain counter at the left was very easy to keep up, so I don't think I was penalized for grabbing the souls, it just seemed logical to collect them when they appear.
It seems like the boss has different areas where they shoot bullets, and you need to concentrate on destroying areas at the right time or else you'll be overwhelmed, might be a bit of strategy to the fights. Boss seemed to have several forms and areas to attack.
